The film Light From The Darkroom is holding a casting call for Caucasians, Latinos, Asians, African-Americans and Native Americans while filming in Oklahoma City.

“The film is a faith-based thriller set in Panama.  When a religious pilgrimage turns into a massacre, Dr. Carmen Hill returns home to Panama City to comfort her best friend, Blanca Zamora, and find out what happened. An undeveloped roll of film arrives, providing the only clues to the massacre and forcing the women to confront their faith and fight for their lives.”

The cast features Lymari Nadal as Blanca, Patricia De Leon as Carmen, Russell Wong, and Steven Michael Quezada.

AIRPORT WORKERS – Latino, African-American or Native American males, age 20’s-30’s

Saturday, August 10 – (These scenes take place in Beijing)

OLD MAN – Asian male, 70+.  Very old, very weathered man.

OLD WOMAN – Asian Female, 70+.  Very old, very weathered woman.

CHINESE MILITARY – Asian males, 18-25.  Trim military types.

Monday, August 12

ONLOOKERS, POLICE, CAB DRIVERS – Latino, African-American or Native American males and females, age 18-65.

ELDERLY LADY – latino female, 65+

Tuesday, August 13

POLICE OFFICERS, ART SHOW PATRONS, CATERERS, CO-WORKERS – Latino, African-American or Native American males and females, age 18-65.

Wednesday, August 14

STREET PEDDLER – Native American or Latino woman, 70+

POLICE OFFICERS – Native American, Latino or African American males, 22-45.

Thursday, August 15

CRIMINALS – Latino, Native American or African American males, 20-60.  Rough looking, tattoos, etc.

POLICE OFFICERS – Native American, Latino or African American males, 22-45.

BUSINESSMEN & WOMEN – Native American, Latino or African American men and women, 20-65. Corporate types. They work for the Panamanian consulate.

To submit for these roles, send the following items in one e-mail to [email protected] ASAP (Please do not call.):

  • A recent photo. No larger than 200KB in size. Please change the name of your photo to your name.  (Ex: JohnSmith.jpg).
  • Phone number, city and state and email address.
  • Wardrobe sizes, including height. (Women: measurements, dress size, pant and shirt.  Men:  Coat, pants, shirt, shoe)
  • Place the words DARKROOM EXTRAS – (NAME OF ROLE)  as the Subject Heading of your email for which you are submitting.  (Example:  DARKROOM EXTRAS – OLD MAN or DARKROOM EXTRAS – POLICE, CAB DRIVERS, PORTERS & TRAVELERS) No other subject headings please.
  • You are welcome to submit for more than one role, but please do so in one email by just adding that role to the subject heading.
  • Do not submit for a role if you are not available to film the entire day the role is scheduled. If you are selected for the project, you will be notified by email and phone call a few days prior to filming.
