Comedy Central TV pilot South Side is now casting in Chicago, Illinois.

Comedy Central is now hiring actors, models, and talent to work on the new TV pilot South Side. Filming will shoot between Wednesday, July 12th and Sunday, July 16th in Chicago, Illinois. Producers are looking for kids, teens, dancers, and other types to work on the show.

About South Side:

Written by Bashir Salahuddin, Diallo Riddle and Sultan Salahuddin, this workplace comedy is set in and around a rent-to-own business on the South Side of Chicago (where the Salahuddins grew up). All three writers will have roles on the show. The show will be executive produced by Bashir Salahuddin and Riddle as well as executive produced and directed by Michael Blieden.

LOOKING FOR PEOPLE COMFORTABLE PLAYING THE FOLLOWING:

1) SHAW’S CREW: Rate: $88/8
Male/Female, African American, Age range: 18+
YOU MUST: be comfortable portraying a gang member. We are looking for the following types: intimidating, scary, mean looking individuals to play gang members.

2) POLE DANCERS: Rate: $500/8
Female, African American, Age Range: 30s AND 40s

We are looking for individuals who are able to pole dance. You must give us a brief description on your dancing experience. There is no nudity, but you will need to wear an outfit that would be appropriate for the performance.

3) STRIPPERS: Rate: $150/8
Female, African American, Age Range 20s

We are looking for attractive females who are comfortable being portrayed as strippers. You must be comfortable with touching the male patrons in the scenes, such as massaging shoulders, etc, and even sitting in their laps (but not lap dancing). There is no nudity, but you will need to wear an outfit that would be appropriate as if you were performing, you will likely end up in a bikini.

4) RENT-TO-OWN EMPLOYEES: Rate: $88/8
Male/Female, African American, Age range: 20s to 40s
We are looking for individuals to play minimum wage employees at a company that rents tech, appliance and furniture.

5) SIMON’S KID: Rate: $150/8
Male/Female, African American, Age range: 4 TO 11
We are looking for individuals to play the kids of one of the main characters. Your child must have a current, valid Illinois work permit with either a talent agency or 4 Star Casting. You must include a scan or photo of your child’s work permit in the submission.

6) SIMON’S EX-GIRLFRIENDS (MOTHER OF HIS KIDS): Rate: $88/8
We are looking for one female, who is in her 20s, who is half African American and half Asian
We are looking for one female, who is in her 30s, who is African American, size 16+ (the character is a postal worker)

7) SIMON’S MOTHER: Rate: $88/8
We are looking for a female, who is in her 60s, who is half African American to play main character’s mother

8) POLICE OFFICERS: Rate: $88/8
Male/Female, Any Ethnicity, Age 25 to 60
If you own a CPD uniform, please let us know in your submission.

9) 1980s FLASHBACK GANG MEMBERS: Rate: $88/8
Male, African American, Age 20s to 40s
We are looking for scary characters to play gang members in a flashback scene that takes place in the 1980s

10) YOUNG SIMON: Rate: $250/8
Male, African American, Age 9 – 11
We are looking for a child to play a younger version of one of the main characters Simon. Your child must be able to ride a bike. Production is also looking for a child who has gymnastic ability. Please include in your submission if you have gymnastic/tumbling experience.

Your child must have a current, valid Illinois work permit with either a talent agency or 4 Star Casting. You must include a scan or photo of your child’s work permit in the submission.

1) In the subject line of the email write the name of the role you are submitting for. i.e. SIMON’S KIDS, SHAW’S CREW, ETC

2) In the body of the email include your: name, age, height, weight, phone number, email, and zip code in which you currently reside.

3) Include your measurements: MEN: JACKET, NECK/SLEEVE (your sleeve is measured from the back of your neck, down the length of your arm to your wrist), PANTS (waist/inseam), SHOES
WOMEN: DRESS, PANTS, SHOES, and BUST (CUP SIZE, TOO)/WAIST/HIPS

4) Confirm that you are comfortable portraying a gang member and all that it entails (doing drugs, being violent, etc) if you are submitting for this role.

5). Confirm your dance experience if you are applying for the pole dancer. If you have any specific pole tricks, please describe. Let us know if you have any video.

6). Confirm that you have filled out the SURVEY pinned to the top of our Facebook page. (If you have not done so then fill it out now).

7) The exact shooting date is TBD – please list your availability during the given time frame: WED., 7/12 – SUN., 7/16. We are only filming Wednesday through Sunday.

8) Attach (2) two current photos, 1 close up and 1 full body taken in good lit lighting. Do not cover your face. No hats, no sunglasses, no filters, etc. Please include photos that reflect the role you are submitting for.
