CBS Hollywood Diversity Programs Now Seeking Directors, Actors, and More

Date:

It is interesting to note the vast amount of opportunities that are available to those that are interested in the entertainment industry. Many people quickly assume the path to Hollywood requires amazing acting skills, and a plethora of connections. But sometimes, opportunities are right underneath your own fingertips.

CBS Daytime Casting Initiative

The CBS Diversity Institute and Casting have recently created a new program to enhance access for diverse actors who are 18 years and older to the talent pool for the daytime dramas, The Young and The Restless and The Bold and The Beautiful. CBS points out in their initiative that:

“As an extension of CBS Diversity’s ongoing talent showcase initiatives, candidates will be pre-screened by the network casting department and the casting directors of these CBS daytime dramas will read actors on a regular basis.”

Thus this is a great opportunity, for any talent that is interested in getting access into the entertainment industry. If you are interested in the CBS Daytime Diversity Initiative submit a hard copy of your resume and photo to

The restructured program is looking for candidates that:

  • Demonstrate a visual perspective in telling a story
  • Are able to execute the best possible performances while capturing the artistic thematic nature of a show
