BUSCH GARDENS ENTERTAINMENT together with BOB CLINE CASTING are seeking vibrant, energetic performers, musicians, stage managers and technicians for its collection of world-class Spring/Summer season productions. Seeking a few triple threat performers, but mostly strong actors/singers and strong dancer/actors. Performers of all ethnicities are strongly encouraged to attend. Award-winning Creative Team members come from Broadway, Hollywood and London’s West End theatres. The highly acclaimed shows have the spirit, energy and production values of mini Broadway musicals.
Please prepare a song selection that shows off your voice and range. Contemporary Broadway or pop is best for us. Singers should be prepared to come back for a movement call later in the day or the following day. Bring sheet music; no CD accompaniment please. Pianist provided. Dancers should bring both characters and flats, and tap shoes if you tap. For the dance call Dancers should still bring a song selection. Please bring your audition book, in case you are asked to sing another type of song selection. Bring headshot & resume.
All rehearsals are in Williamsburg, VA. Rehearsals begin for core shows sometime during the first two weeks of March. These shows open March 27 and run through Labor Day. “London Rocks” rehearsals begin sometime during the first two weeks of April, opens April 24 and runs through Labor Day.
Pays $19.76 an hour for principal roles. $14.07 an hour for ensemble roles. Non-union.
SEEKING:
[MALE SINGER 1] Can play mid 40’s to 50’s. Big loud fun personality, comedic, charming, unique character type. An exceptional voice is necessary, styles range from Broadway to Pop. Must have strong comedic chops, improv skills, and be able to have a clear, understandable German accent. Special skills (Magic, juggling, impersonations, etc) are a plus. Must move very well. Vocal Range: Baritone to F.
[MALE SINGER 2] Can play late teen to early 20’s. Boyishly cute with charming personality and a very natural ease and affability. An exceptional voice is necessary, styles range from Broadway to Pop. MUST move very well. Dance (partnering), acro and special skills (tumbling, juggling, impersonations, etc) a plus. Must be able to deliver comedic bits throughout the show. Vocal Range: Tenor with strong belt to A.
[FEMALE SINGER 1] 20’s to 40’s. Leading Lady/Diva type with big personality, charming, funny with a dramatic flair and an exceptional voice. Styles range from Broadway to Pop, operatic training a plus. Must move well, have strong comedic chops and be able to have a clear, understandable German accent. Special skills (magic, twirling, impersonations, etc) a plus. Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano.
[FEMALE SINGER 2] Can play 20’s. Sweet, naturally charming, alluring ingénue type with big personality and an exceptional voice. Styles range from Broadway to Pop. Must deliver comedic bits throughout the show. Must move well, dance (partnering) and special skills (tumbling, twirling, impersonations, magic) a plus. Vocal Range: Soprano, mix/belt to D or E.
[MALE ENSEMBLE DANCERS] Seeking very dynamic, unique, excellent athletic dancers. Must have strong technique and sense of style. Partnering and lift experience, tumbling, circus and special skills a plus. 5’8” or taller. Males should bring jazz shoes.
[FEMALE ENSEMBLE DANCERS] Seeking very dynamic, unique, excellent athletic dancers. Should have strong technique and sense of style. Partnering and lift experience, tumbling, circus and special skills a plus. 5’6” or taller. Females should bring heels and flats.
[FESTHAUS MUSICIANS] Seeking vibrant, personable, energetic, proficient instrumentalist/performers: ACCORDION, TRUMPET, TROMBONE, CLARINET/SAX, DRUMS. Must be able to move well, marching band experience a plus. Fun character types, singing and special skills a plus, improv/comedic skills encouraged.
[INNKEEPER – PRINCIPAL SINGER] The proprietor of the Celtic Fyre Inn. Strong, mature personality and charisma with a bit of Irish charm. Must move well. Strong Broadway style voice. Vocal Range: Tenor with a strong belt and sustained G5.

[MALE AMERICAN TAPPERS – PRINCIPAL DANCER] The American friends of the bride who bring a whole different beat to the party. Seeking very dynamic unique tappers with a strong sense of style, technique, and flair.
[CELTIC MUSICIANS] Seeking vibrant, personable, energetic, proficient instrumentalist/performers: ACCORDION/PIANO, BODRHAN, GUITAR, VIOLIN/FIDDLE.
[COSTUME CHARACTERS] Any gender. Great energy, personality and skill for interacting with guests. Strong pantomime and movement/dance required. Character Height range needed: 4’11” to 6’2”.
[FEMALE INTERACTIVE PERFORMER] Warm, friendly, charming with a strong presence and personality. Comedic timing a plus. Vocal Ranges: Alto to Mezzo
