ABC’s Dirty Dancing is now casting extras, dancers, and musicians in Asheville, North Carolina.
Casting directors for the upcoming Dirty Dancing remake is now casting background actors, extras, and stand-ins to work on the upcoming TV series.
Tona B. Dahlquist, the official casting director for Dirty Dancing, is now casting extras, dancers, and musicians to work on the upcoming Patrick Swayze remake.
Filming will take place in Asheville, North Carolina and surrounding area. Anyone that is interested in working as a background extra must be willing to work as a local in any area producers are filming.
Filming will take place in April and May.
About Dirty Dancing:
The new ‘Dirty Dancing’ remake will be a three-episode TV miniseries on ABC. The TV miniseries will feature a “night of singing and dancing as we update the classic film ‘Dirty Dancing’ as a three-hour event.”
According to our previous report, Dirty Dancing will will create 1,225 jobs in North Carolina including 900 extras, 30 cast members and 225 “crew/full time” jobs.

Dirty Dancing Open Casting Call
DIRTY DANCING SUBMISSION INFO For Extras, Period Cars and Dancers….will be needing band members but more details for that when I have them. Filming will take place in Asheville, NC and surrounding areas such as Hendersonville, Casheirs, Saluda etc..Anyone working as an Extra must be willing to work as a local in any area we are filming.

Extras Casting Call
FOR EXTRAS : Seeking Males and Females of all ethnic backgrounds 18 years of age and up for filming.
Please note very few children are needed for this film.

FOR PERIOD VEHICLES…Seeking vehicles late 50’s -1975.
All submission should include current photo of the vehicle as well as a current photo of the owner. PERIOD VEHICLES submit to: [email protected]
Also include, Owners name, age, phone, City/State the vehicle is located as well as the vehicle’s information (year/make/model).
Please let us know if there are any dents or dings to the vehicle.
Dancers Casting Call
FOR EXPEREINCED DANCERS…Adults of all ages MALES & Females.
HOWEVER -especially in need those of College Age (20’s -30’s) with much experience and available multiple days thru out filming. These folks will also be portraying staff at lodge. Seeking ALL ethnic backgrounds for Dancers. Should be experienced in dance moves /styles as seen in original movie.
