After learning the news, Sylvester Stallone, who was not contacted for the film, publicly expressed his displeasure and directly addressed series producer Irwin Winkler and co-star Lundgren.
"Another Heartbreaker&hellip; Just found this out&hellip; ONCE AGAIN, this PATHETIC 94-year-old PRODUCER and HIS MORONIC USELESS VULTURE CHILDREN, Charles And David, are once again picking clean THE BONES of another wonderful character I created without even telling me. I APOLOGIZE to the FANS. I never wanted ROCKY characters to be exploited by these parasites," wrote Stallone in a now-deleted post. "By the way, I have nothing but respect for Dolph, but I wish HE had told me what was going on behind my back. Keep your REAL friends close."
After those comments, Lundgren tweeted that there were no agreements in place, and he thought Stallone was involved as a producer or an actor, which lightened the mood with a vintage photo.
Stallone, who wrote and starred in the original 1976 Rocky film, has long expressed dissatisfaction with Winkler's control of the series. As the third Creed movie and Drago spinoff continue without Stallone, he hit a breaking point as he found himself completely excluded from the conversation.

The Authentic Brands Group, which controls the Marilyn Monroe estate, defended de Armas after the estate did not give its consent. Marc Rosen, president of entertainment for Authentic Brands Group, stated:
"Marilyn Monroe is a singular Hollywood and pop culture icon that transcends generations and history. Any actor that steps into that role knows they have big shoes to fill. Based on the trailer alone, it looks like Ana was a great casting choice as she captures Marilyn's glamour, humanity, and vulnerability. We can't wait to see the film in its entirety!"
In an earlier interview with The Times of London, de Armas said she spent almost a year perfecting her Monroe accent. "It took me nine months of dialect coaching, and practicing and some ADR sessions [to get the accent right]. It was a big torture, so exhausting. My brain was fried," she said.
She also spoke with Vanity Fair in 2020 about Andrew Dominik's decision to cast her, a Cuban actress, as the American star., "I only had to audition for Marilyn once, and Andrew said, 'It's you,' but I had to audition for everyone else." She continued, "The producers. The money, people. I always have people I needed to convince. But I knew I could do it. Playing Marilyn was groundbreaking. A Cuban playing Marilyn Monroe. I wanted it so badly. You see that famous photo of her, and she is smiling in the moment, but that's just a slice of what she was really going through at the time."

David Leitch, the director of Deadpool 2, has confirmed that a sequel to Nobody is already in development. In promoting his new film Bullet Train, the Hollywood creative told Collider that a script for the sequel is now being written. Better Call Saul's Bob Odenkirk will reprise his role as Hutch Mansell, a mysterious former assassin who worked for the government.
&ldquo;Oh, I think everyone&rsquo;s excited about it,&rdquo; Leitch said when asked about the sequel. &ldquo;Everyone involved is like, &lsquo;Full steam ahead.&rsquo; We are in the script process, and I think we had so much fun making that. Kelly [McCormick] and I had a blast, the actors had a blast, the studio loved the results, and it&rsquo;s happening. I mean, I think it&rsquo;s happening as fast as we can make it happen.&rdquo;
When asked if he had faith that the sequel would be released onscreen, the director responded: &ldquo;I do, because there are these certain journeys that you go on, and they&rsquo;re just undeniable experiences for the people involved. And that was one of them. And I think we all want to go back and play in that universe, and we want to see Bob bring that character to life again.&rdquo;

The original film, which starred Patrick Swayze as a retired UFC fighter who takes a position as a bouncer at an uncouth roadhouse in the Florida Keys, is about an ex-fighter who starts to uncover corruption in his hometown.
The Road House remake cast includes Suicide Squad's Daniela Melchior, Euphoria's Lukas Gage, Billy Magnussen, and Gbemisola Ikumelo. Hannah Love Lanier, Travis Van Winkle, B.K. The other cast members are Cannon, Arturo Castro, Dominique Columbus, Beau Knapp, and Bob Menery.
The screenwriter will be Bob Goodman, and the director will be Doug Liman. Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry have written the script.
In addition to executive producing, JJ Hook will also have through their company, and Alison Winter and Aaron Auch will executive produce. Silver Pictures and JJ Hook will co-produce.
The movie will begin shooting in the Dominican Republic later this month. While a premiere date has not been set, it will be available to stream on Amazon Video.

Matt Kindt and Wilfredo Torres' comic book series will be adapted for the big screen by Leitch, whose previous work includes Bullet Train and Deadpool 2. A terrorist organization attempting to bring about the end of the world with a brainwashing novel series will be featured in this feature film, written by Kindt and Zak Olkewicz. After they put their plans into action, the world's greatest spy is called in to destroy the evil creator behind the scheme.
Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse, Leitch and Kelly McCormick of 87 North, and Elba are the creators. The film has not yet been given a Netflix release date.
The company is also partnered with Netflix to produce movies based on Mind MGMT and Kindt's The Fixer, with Curtis Gwinn set to executive have the former. Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles was one of Dark Horse's previous titles, which starred Mads Mikkelsen in the Netflix film Polar and the Netflix animated series Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles.
According to Deadline, the streamer has teamed up with the production company for Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy, which debuted in the Netflix Global Top 10 in TV in 91 countries during its first four weeks.

The effort to combat the growing number of issues with mental health was prompted by social networking sites, as well as the rising instances of body dysmorphia.

In response to Norway's new legislation, the United Kingdom is also going similarly. A bill currently being discussed in the House of Commons says that digitally altered pictures of faces and bodies must include a logo. M.P.'s within the Health and Social Care Committee is promoting the new legislation to change body standards that presently influence a Gen Z audience.
The new legislation also states that the marketing of cosmetic services, such as dermal fillers, should be tightly controlled, with a mental health background check for those who want to book a procedure. According to the BBC, former health secretary Jeremy Hunt, chairing the group, stated: "We heard of some distressing experiences with procedures carried out with no questions asked."
It's unclear how the U.K. will punish people who don't follow the new regulation, but in 2017, France also passed a new photoshop legislation. It requires any commercial image that has been modified to include a written notice stating "edited photograph." The fine for breaking the rule may be up to &euro;37,000 ($38,000) or 30% of the ad's cost.
In the U.K., no dates for the new legislation's activation have been set, but it is expected to take effect very soon.

UK Social Media Influencers Will Soon Have to Disclose Edited Pictures

<h2>California Governor Gavin Newsom is backing legislation extending the state's <a title="film and television tax program" href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/tag/film-tax-credits/">film and television tax program</a> for five years through 2030.</h2>
The decision on Wednesday was in an attempt to entice studios from states like Georgia and Oklahoma, which have passed anti-abortion legislation following the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade ruling.
If passed, the bill would provide $1.65 billion in tax credits or $330 million every year after 2025, when the program was scheduled to terminate. Last year, Newsom signed off on a $180 million incentive package over the next two years, bringing the yearly incentive amount to $420 million. To encourage the development of soundstages, the program was expanded with $150 million in tax credits.
&ldquo;As other states roll back people&rsquo;s rights, California will continue to protect fundamental freedoms for all and welcome businesses that stand up for their employees,&rdquo; Newsom said. &ldquo;Extending this program will help ensure California&rsquo;s world-renowned entertainment industry continues to drive economic growth with good jobs and a diverse, inclusive workforce.&rdquo;
In a public letter to Hollywood, Governor Gavin Newsom urged businesses to cease doing business in states that have "waged a cruel assault on fundamental rights" as a result of the Supreme Court's decision. &ldquo;Today more than ever, you have a responsibility to take stock of your values &mdash; and those of your employees &mdash; when doing business in those states,&rdquo; he wrote.
Newsom emphasized that California shares the values of people working in the film industry. He continued, &ldquo;So to those in power to make decision about where to film, where to hire, where to open new offices, we in California say: Walk the walk.&rdquo;&nbsp;
After Georgia passed legislation in 2019 banning abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, there were numerous calls to cease shooting in the state. More than a dozen major film and television studios, including Disney, WarnerMedia, NBCUniversal, AMC, Sony, CBS and Viacom, threatened to withdraw productions from the state if the legislation was enacted. Bob Iger, former chief executive of Disney, said in response to the legislation that, &ldquo;Many people who work for us will not want to work there, and we will have to heed their wishes in that regard.&rdquo;
Despite a federal appeals court's July decision to lift an injunction against the statute, discussions of a boycott have died down. Despite the fact that Georgia-based studios continue to film there, they've committed to paying for their staff's travel costs if they need reproductive care outside of the state.
Calls to cease firing in Georgia have been met with resistance from gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and others, who claim that such a measure would be detrimental to those on the ground working on film and TV shows, most of whom opposed the bill. Nearly 100,000 people are working in the film industry in Georgia.
Studios may be hesitant to pull productions from specific states due to tax benefits. Of the 22 states that have banned, mostly banned, or would soon ban abortion procedures, 15 provide tax incentives to attract in-state film production. They give nearly half a billion dollars in free money to the film industry every year. In 2021, Georgia alone gave out $1.2 billion in tax credits.
Following the Supreme Court's decision to repeal Roe v. Wade, Governor Newsom signed a bill safeguarding patients and health-care providers from civil liability for providing or obtaining abortion care.
With production costs rising in California and the state offering fewer tax credits, Governor Gavin Newsom has set his sights on bringing some of them back. In 2021, he signed a bill earmarking an extra $15 million for series that move to California, increasing the overall annual amount to $71.1 million. To qualify as a relocating series, the criteria were also loosened to include programs that produced their pilot episode outside of California. (Previously, relocation series had to complete an entire season outside of California to be eligible.)
According to the governor's office, the state&rsquo;s film and television tax program has generated $24 in economic activity for every $1 invested, helping create over 100,000 jobs.

<h2>Why are HBO Max Originals getting canceled?</h2>
When David Zaslav unveiled his $43 billion plan to combine Discovery with WarnerMedia, he said he would deliver $3 billion in annual operational savings. He's now discovered some spare cash in HBO Max, after auditing business at Warner Bros. Discovery, which is now a single network.
Several of the original films previously available exclusively to HBO Max subscribers have been deleted. Such productions include the&nbsp;Seth Rogen&nbsp;time-travel comedy&nbsp;An American Pickle,&nbsp;Robert Zemeckis&rsquo;s remake of&nbsp;The Witches&nbsp;starring&nbsp;Anne Hathaway&nbsp;and&nbsp;Octavia Spencer,&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Cole Sprouse&nbsp;and&nbsp;Lana Condor&nbsp;rom-com&nbsp;Moonshot. Accoridng to reports, this business decision illustrates a major move to remove low-performing content.
HBO Max subscribers first observed the movies, which also include the Doug Liman heist picture Locked Down and Angel Manuel Soto's drama Charm City Kings, were no longer available when it launched in 2019. The removals were subsequently confirmed from the service by Variety. Warner Bros. HBO Max's new release has also quietly removed several titles recently, including the Hungarian original drama series The Informant.
HBO Max still has to pay licensing fees for many of these films and television series, despite the fact that they were created by Warner Bros. Studios. The fees for all of those titles&mdash;HBO Max boasts "thousands of hours of series, movies, and special exclusives" &mdash;can get costly.
Warner Bros. Discovery&rsquo;s decision to remove some exclusive originals from HBO Max comes as the company prepares to merge the streamer with the sister service Discovery+.
Since the merger took effect earlier this year, several top executives have had to make a lot of significant decisions. In June, HBO abandoned plans for a big J.J. Abrams-developed Demimonde series, and they confirmed this week that they had halted development on the DC movie Batgirl with Leslie Grace and an animated Scooby-Doo feature. Zaslav is expected to update the business on Thursday when the company reports its quarterly earnings.

Robin Roberts, anchor of ABC's morning show "Good Morning America" has recently come out as gay in a recent Facebook page post.

Robin Robert's sexuality was not a secret to her friends and family and even co-workers for some time, but this was the first time that she mentioned her longtime girlfriend Amber Laign.

“I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together,” she wrote in the post, which was a thank-you for those who had supported her following her bone marrow transplant last year.

Robin Roberts was diagnosed in 2012 with MDS, myelodysplastic syndrome and was forced to take a leave from Good Morning America to undergo bone marrow transplant in October of 2012. She was able to return to the show in February 20, 2013.

It is interesting to note that the National Marrow Donor Program had an increase in the number of bone marrow donors the day Roberts went public with her illness. Robin Roberts is not the only person to that came out to the public about their sexuality. CNN newscaster Anderson Cooper came out with Andrew Sullivan in July of 2012 and former Good Morning America weatherman Sam Champion as he announced that he planned to marry his boyfriend Rubem Robierb.

Robin Roberts Official Comes Out about Her Longtime Girlfriend in Facebook Post

<h2>Ever wonder what it is like to play a gay or lesbian character in a popular TV series?</h2>
Actress Amber Tamblyn of "Two And A Half Men", recently appeared on "<a href="http://www.runninglateshow.com/" target="_hplink">Running Later With Scott Rogowsky</a>" last week to discuss her experience as an actress playing a lesbian character on the popular sitcom series.

"Two and a Half Men" has been called one of the most sex-positive, queer-friendly shows on television" but, this is only after Charlie Sheen's exit. During Charlie Sheen's lead appearance on the series, the show was argued as as a show that was primarily geared towards straight men and continously put down the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. They series was also known for putting woman as the but of the joke. However, according to Amber Tamblyn, the series had a compelete change.
<blockquote>"It's great to play a lesbian character that is not the butt of jokes and that is actually the one that supplies the jokes and oftentimes is not cast as the villain in a sitcom," she told Rogowsky in the above clip, "or a stereotype or any of those things... I think they've got a lot of young, great writers and it's kind of amazing for a show like that to go through the changes that it has and really come from being a show that was primarily for men and male-based jokes to jokes that, really, a lot of women and a lot of friends of mine who are gay and even transgender love it."</blockquote>

Actress Amber Tamblyn Discusses Playing a Lesbian on a Primetime Series

<h2>Duck Dynasty may just be over...</h2>
The Duck Dynasty family say they are "in discussions" with A&amp;E about the future of the show following the suspension of Phil Robertson.

The Robertson family of "Duck Dynasty" has spoken out about the indefinite suspension of the family's father Phil Robertson, who was pulled from the series reality show on Wednesday after making anti-gay comments in a GQ magazine interview.

In a statement from the Duck Dynasty family, posted on their website, the family says that they cannot imagine moving forward with the show if Phil Robertson is not a part of it.

In a statement from the family, they assert that Phil Robertson "would never incite or encourage hate" and that they were "disappointed" in the suspension.

The Duck Dynast family continued and said that Phil’s expression of his faith is his “constitutionally protected right.”

But, things are not all that bad for the Duck Dynasty family. According to <a href="http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/5847707/duck-dynasty-christmas-album-sales-gain-phil-robertson-scandal">Billboard</a>, it is expected that album sales have increased due to the homophobic comments. I guess there is no such thing as bad publicity in the entertainment industry.

"Duck Dynasty" Star Phil Robertson has been put on an indefinte hiatus from filming the hit series on A&amp;E after comments about gay people he made in an interview with GQ magazine.

In an statement by A&amp;E Networks they commented on their disappointment in Phil Roberton's comments
<blockquote>"We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson's comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series 'Duck Dynasty.' The interview which appears in the January issue of GQ, Robertson refers to gay people as "homosexual offenders" whou would not "inherit the Kingdom of God." Furthermore, he also said a woman's vagina was "more desirable" than a man's anus."

"But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man," he told the publication. "It's just not logical."

The "Duck Dynasty" star also released an apology "I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other."

That kind of thinking is so 20th century!  Grimes is probably one of those guys who assumes any actress who does a love scene with him is really in love with him.

seems to me he's got a thing about gays but as an actor as well, you have to go with what the writers do to develop each character.

I hope this is a publicity stunt. Let's hope the motives are very different. If not, this guy is a total jerk and does not deserve to work as an actor again. At least in the big leagues.

Free country.  He has a right to hate gay people, and as a public figure people have a right to tip on him for his views. As long as it stays on that level, that's how America used to work. Bullying people out of the ability to earn a living is where we've gone wrong and need to readjust. 

At the end of the day, you're still a person, not the character of which you're portraying. Whether it's for spiritual reasons, or for personal reservations, he has the right to choose to not act out something that makes him uncomfortable even if it fits right in with his character. On any given day, writers can alter the direction of a character's preference. The same cannot be said for a person. A person cannot be so easily re-written in a day, nor should they have to be. Let's not make this an issue nor should we make it any larger than it is.

Grimes can do whatever the heck he wants and if he doesn't want to play a gay character, he has the right not to! Actors turn down roles for all kinds of reasons all the time! 


Why even bring it up? You're just stirring the pot to start a conversation pointing out how ignorant people can be. So, now the guy's a homophobe, or prude or whatever other character denigrating adjectives people can come up with.

I don't think anyone should be forced to do anything they are uncomfortable with. I also don't think they should be judged because of it. There are many actors, actresses that refuse to do nude scenes, they aren't accused of having a thing about people who are nude.  And no you don't have to go with what the writers develop you do have a choice and he chose not to stay.

Just because he chose not to portray  a gay character does not mean he hates gays. Bottom  line its a job like  any other job  he didn't want to do it so he quit stop making it anymore than it is.

I disagree.  I don't think it makes him a jerk.  I think it makes him someone who isn't capable of acting counter to their own sexual identity.  I'm gay and If I were an actor, I'd have a harder time playing a straight dude, especially if there are a bunch of kissing and sex scenes with women.  I'd like to think I could get past it, but in the end, my real fear is that I don't think i could portray the emotions adequately.  Maybe he's just not confident enough in his acting ability to portray a gay man in a sexual relationship.  It doesn't make him a jerk.

I don't think he left because he's anti gay... it's harder for straight men to play gay and have it look believable since actors are really just about their emotions. If you're not attracted to men, it's hard to act it out and most actors really just play themselves in fantasy situations. Most actors are not Denzel Washington and Edward Norton where they can just switch demeanors - that's really hard to do. I'm an androgynous lesbian who was told to act feminine and pretend to be straight, but I have a very natural masculine way about me. I also have what people term "Bad boy eyes". When I tried to play straight and feminine,it came out unbelievable and people just thought I couldn't act when really... Casting should have put me in as a villain, because I play a**hole better than some love interest for a dude. I think it's a wise choice for Grimes to jump off if he's aware he can't make kissing another dude as if he's enjoying it... I know how he feels, trust me... it's not easy.

I agree, he can do what he wants and if he doesn't feel comfortable, he shouldn't have to do gay scenes. Having said that, the fact that he has an issue with it makes me think he's kind of lame (gay actors kiss the opposite sex quite often) and I'm really glad they replaced him.

<h2>True Blood's 'Luke Grimes' left the show because his character would be a gay character.</h2>
It was common knowledge among True Blood fans that Luke Grimes had left his role as James to be replaced by Nathan Parsons. However, it is now being reported why the actor might have left.

When Luke Grimes left the show, he was on his way to film 'Fifty Shades of Grey' so not too many people questioned his departure from TV, but TVLine reported hat it was due to "creative differences".

<h2>Oprah Winfrey to film a documentary on the first openly gay football player, Michael Sam</h2>
Oprah Winfrey's OWN is teaming up with Pilgrim Studios and filmmaker Amy Rise to produce a multi-part originals docu-series about Michael Sam, the first openly gay football player to be drafted into the NFL.

The new series is set to take a person look at the gay football players as he enters the world of professional football.

According to deadline, cameras are expected to follow Sam as he works to earn his spot on the St. Louis Rams while under the scrutiny and pressure of being the first openly gay player in the NFL.

“We are honored that Michael is trusting us with his private journey in this moment that has not only made history but will shape it forever,” said Oprah Winfrey.

OWN Teams With Michael Sam for a New Docu-Series on the First Openly Gay Football Player

<h2>After many years of 'lying by omission', the 'Juno' actress Ellen Page' has revealed she is a lesbian.</h2>
The Canadian born star, best known for her role in "Juno", "Inception" and the upcoming feature film "X-Men Days of Future Past" made the announcement on Friday as part of a speech at the "Time to Thrive" conference.

The conference was an LGBT (lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual) geared towards youths.&nbsp;"I'm here today because I'm gay, and maybe I can make a difference to help others have an easier and more hopeful time," said Page.

The actress felt she had a personal obligation and a responsibilty to speak out on the issues surrounding LGBT youth. <h2>According to E! Online, 'The Vampire Diaries' are adding a gay character to the cast.</h2>
The supernatural drama has had several love triangles and relationships but, this will be the first gay character to be featured in the series.
