<h2>Disney announces 'Frozen 2'.</h2>
Disney has officially announced plans to produce a sequel to "Frozen." According to <a href="http://variety.com/2015/film/news/disney-announces-frozen-2-1201451480/">reports</a>, the company revealed plans during the Walt Disney Co.'s annual shareholders meeting on Thursday from San Francisco.

Thet sequel is not much of a surprise, considering how the first film became a major hit internationally. 'Frozen' made nearly $1.3 billion at the box office and has become a merchandising behemoth, breaking sales records across the country.

Disney also used their shareholders movie to announce details surrounding the <a title="Disney Announces New ‘Star Wars’ Spinoff and Sequel" href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/news/disney-announces-new-star-wars-spinoff-and-sequel/">next 'Star Wars' films</a>.

Disney Announces 'Frozen 2' Sequel

I would love information on casting for  frozen 2! I would be a perfect fit

<h2>The 2013 Oscar-winning movie, Frozen is currently in development for a sequel. Are you ready for Frozen 2?</h2>
Indina Menzel, the voice actor who voiced Elsa in Disney's award winning animation hit, told the Guardian that a sequel is currently in development by Disney studios.

When the <em>Guardian </em>asked Menzel what we should expect in the Frozen sequel, she replied, "That they're all in the works, ha ha!"

Indina Menzel revealed that she will also be attached to the sequels: "Ah, yeah sure. … Not the stage show — I don’t know what will happen with that — but the movie, hopefully. We'll see. I’m just going along for the ride."

In February, Walt Disney Animation Studios executive vice president and GM Andrew Millstein told <em>The Hollywood Reporter </em>that "there's not a sequel [currently] on the drawing boards," and Disney chairman reiterated what the GM said.

But, this is amazing news for the animation series. <em>Frozen </em>has made $1.27 billion worldwide and won several Oscars for best animated feature and best original song for "Let It Go."

<h2>Walt Disney World is Making a 'Frozen' Ride</h2>
<strong>Walt Disney World</strong> is creating a <em><strong>Frozen</strong></em> ride. Disney's hit animated movie, Frozen is now getting the theme park treatment. <a href="http://variety.com/2014/film/news/disney-frozen-epcot-1201304634/">Variety</a> reports that Disney is planning on creating a new ride in the Epcot center in Orlando, Florida.

They plan on turning the Maelstrom, a "mysterious boat ride through Scandinavian seascapes and swamps inhabited by creatures," into a new ride that will take guests to Arendelle and immerse them in many of their favorite moments and music from the film," said exec Tom Staggs at<a href="http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2014/09/frozen-attraction-coming-to-epcot/" target="_blank"> the Disney Parks blog</a>.

The area will also include a special area for kids to meet the characters from the hit movie.
<blockquote>"The pavilion will also include a royal greeting location where [lead characters] Anna and Elsa can meet our guests," he added. "We think these 'Frozen' elements are great compliments to the Norway Pavilion, which showcases the country and region that inspired the film."</blockquote>

<h3>About Disney's&nbsp;<em>Frozen</em>&nbsp;Musical:<em>&nbsp;</em></h3>
Frozen, a new musical based on Disney&#146;s Academy Award-winning musical film, is slated to join Disney hits Aladdin and The Lion King on Broadway in spring 2018 at the St. James Theatre.

This Broadway-bound Frozen, a full-length stage work told in two acts, is the first and only incarnation of the tale that expands upon and deepens its indelible plot and themes through new songs and story material from the film&#146;s creators. Like the Disney Theatrical Broadway musicals that have come before it, it is a full evening of theatre and is expected to run two and a half hours.

Written by a trio of Oscar&reg; winners, Frozen features music and lyrics by the creators of the film score Kristen Anderson-Lopez (In Transit, Up Here) and EGOT-winner Robert Lopez (Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon, Up Here) and a book by Jennifer Lee (Wreck-It Ralph), the film&#146;s screenwriter and director (with Chris Buck). Frozen won 2014 Oscars for Best Song (&#147;Let It Go&#148;) and Best Animated Feature.

Disney's 'Frozen: Musical' Open Casting Call

<h2><a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/tag/disney/">Disney</a> <em><a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/frozen/">Frozen</a> </em>star <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/idina-menzel/">Idinia Menzel</a> is perfectly okay with making Elsa a LGBT princess.</h2>

<em>Frozen </em>star Idina Menzel fully supports the hashtag #GiveElsaAGirlfriend Twitter campaign. The actress, who voices the lead character of Elsa in the Disney hit movie, told ET how she feels about the online campaign on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet Sunday night in Las Vegas. “I think it’s great,” Menzel said. “Disney’s just gotta contend with that. I’ll let them figure that out.”

The online petition started last month when a teenage activist named Alexis Isabel Moncada tweeted, “I hope Disney makes Elsa a lesbian princess imagine, how iconic that would be. Dear @Disney, #GiveElsaAGirlfriend.”

Moncada, the founder of Feminist Culture said:
<blockquote>“Growing up, I never saw a princess fall in love with another princess — and neither have girls growing up right now. The entertainment industry has given us girls who have fallen in love with beasts, ogres who fall for humans, and even grown women who love bees. But we’ve never been able to see the purity in a queer relationship.”</blockquote>
<em>Frozen 2 </em>is currently in development but the release date has not been announced. Disney has yet to comment on the campaign but with support from the lead actress, the Walt Disney Company may soon reveal their first LGBTQ animated princess.

Disney 'Frozen' Star is Okay With Making Elsa LGBT

<h2>'Frozen' fans petition for Princess Elsa to have a female love interest in the next movie.</h2>
Fans have taken to the Internet to petition for Disney to give&nbsp;<em>Frozen's&nbsp;</em>lead character Princess Elsa a female love interest in the movie's sequel. The hashtag #GiveElsaAGirlfriend went viral on monday as many Twitter users argued for a gay character in the movie.

But, some people were not too supportive of creating a LGBTQ Disney movie character.

If Disney decided to create a lesbian character for Frozen, it would not be the first time a Disney character was gay. However, it would be the first time an animated movie directed towards children would feature a gay character.
