Discovery's</a></strong> decision to cancel or shelve several DC Entertainment projects has left fans and employees alike feeling confused and uncertain.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The general public is unsure which projects will be scrapped or continue since the newly formed company has shown that it is willing to eliminate some past undertakings, like Batgirl. The studio has now stated that a new 10-year plan is currently in development for the DC Extended Universe. According to the Hollywood Reporter's announcement, Warner had suggested that films based on Supergirl, Green Lantern Corps, and Static Shock were expected in the next few years. However, with production and development currently slowed at the studio, there does not appear to be much sign of these features moving forward.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Even though many are worried, the studio has stated that several much-loved projects from DC will be okay. Out of those still in development, this includes "multiple" projects by James Gunn, such as season two of Peacemaker. No further information has been provided about which projects, but it is known that there will be more from Gunn for the DC Universe. Blue Beetle has also been given the go-ahead for an August 2023 release date, which is exciting. Stay tuned for further news.</span></p>

This decision comes after much pressure and fan complaints because of Ezra Miller's recent conflict with the law. Ezra Miller is known for felony burglary in Vermont, and this latest arrest might be causing Warner Bros to change its mind about releasing the film.</span></p>

If he refuses professional help, option two would see Warner Bros. recasting his role in future DCEU projects and prevent Miller from doing any press for the film; it would still get a theatrical release, though.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The worst-case scenario will be if things escalate with Miller's case, in which the studio may decide to abandon the film, as Batgirl was complete. According to reports, Warner Bros. has already invested USD 200 million into the project, so a decision to scrap it would be unprecedented in Hollywood.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">No decisions have been announced yet, but fans of the DCEU should stay updated for further news.</span></p>

Starting on August 23, the cost of 'ESPN+' will rise from $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year to $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, according to the previous announcement ESPN+.</span></p>

<h2>The upcoming <a title="Warner Bros." href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/tag/warner-bros/">Warner Bros.</a> remake of&nbsp;<em>The Wizard of Oz</em>&nbsp;will be written and directed by Kenya Barris.</h2>
<p>Although we do not yet know many details about the film, Deadline has reported that it will be &ldquo;a modern reimagining of the iconic musical.&rdquo; The black-ish creator&rsquo;s Khalabo Ink Society is producing while Sheila Walcott is overseeing Warner Bros. We also do not yet know who will comprise the cast.</p>
<p>Barris is currently in production on his feature directorial debut, You People, which was co-written by Jonah Hill and starred Eddie Murphy. The director is also preparing to premiere the Entergalactic Kid Cudi-created Netflix series in September.</p>

Quality Control Distribution and Management, Trioscope, the company behind Netflix's animated hybrid drama The Liberator, is an Atlanta-based film finance firm Georgia Production Finance.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Quavo will play Guy Miller, a man who has been recently released from prison and is trying to mend his ways. However, he must start casinos again to survive when he's thrust back into Atlanta's bustling yet dangerous underworld. With time running out, he must use all his cunning street smarts to stay alive.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The film will explore the obsession with sideshows and drivers who take over streets and parking lots to do stunts in car culture. Trioscope's proprietary animation technique will bring this to life by merging live-action performances with animation.</span></p>

<em>The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air&nbsp;</em>was one of the first young African American series that mixed hip-hop with comedy. In a recent interview with, Variety, Alfonso Ribeiro revealed where the dance came from:
<blockquote>The only moment (of going off script) for me was one episode where Will was in a cabin, and he&#146;s supposed to be tied up by this girl and then &#133; he comes back and tells me that he might have killed her, and I go crazy. I told the director, &#147;Listen, just keep a <a class="auto-link" title="camera" href="http://variety411.com/us/new-york/camera-sound-equipment/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">camera</a> on me. I&#146;m going to be crazy.&#148; It ended up at the end of the show, where I got down on my hands and knees and pulled myself across (the stage) and ran up in the audience and came through the elevator doors in the school. It was one of those silly on-set moments that ended up making it to air.

The Carlton Dance was created when it said in the script: &#147;Carlton dances.&#148; It was never even intended to be funny; it was just that he was dancing. The dance is ultimately Courtney Cox in the Bruce Springsteen video &#147;Dancing in the Dark&#148;; that&#146;s the basis. Or in Eddie Murphy&#146;s &#147;Delirious&#148; video, &#147;The White Man Dance&#148; as he called it. And I said, &#147;That is the corniest dance on the planet that I know of, so why don&#146;t I do that?&#148;</blockquote>
The dance will live forever as the Carlton dance.

'Fresh Prince of Bel Air': How I Created the Carlton Dance

<h2>Will Smith is currently in talks to reboot the nineties sitcom 'Fresh Prince of
Bel Air'.</h2>
The original series revolved around Will Smith, a Philadelphia teen who is forced to live with his aunt and uncle - the sophisticated Banks family - in Bel-Air, California, and the misadventures that happened with his family and friends.

TV Line noted that according to multiple sources, the reboot would 'put a new spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the spirit of the original series.'

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The publication also reported that a pitch is currently being finalized, after which Overbrook, Will Smith's production company, will begin shopping it around.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">Will Smith would work as executive producer on the project, alongside Overbrook producing partners  James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett, and Jada Pinkett-Smith.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">The 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' reboot was brought up to NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt - as the show originally aired on NBC - at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills on Thursday.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">Robert said the network was not involved with the project, but that he would 'be happy to talk to Will [Smith] about it.'</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">Will became a household name after starring on the series, which ran for six seasons on NBC, from 1990 to 1996.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">Prior to appearing on the show Will Smith was a rapper, and one part of the successful hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff &amp; The Fresh Prince. DJ Jazzy Jeff starred alongside Will Smith on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as his best friend Jazz.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">The series also starred Tatyana Ali, Alfonso Ribeiro, and James Avery, and had a ton of guest stars such as Don Cheadle, Queen Latifah and Tyra Banks.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is the latest Ninties sitcom announced to make a comeback this year including 'Full House,' 'Coach,' 'The X-Files,' and 'Twin Peaks.'</p>

<h2>James Avery the Dad from 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' died last night</h2>
James Avery, the amazing dad on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"  has passed away at  the age 68 according to TMZ.

Sources tell TMZ he died in an Glendale, CA hospital last night. James Avery had undergone open heart surgery and unfortunately, the surgery took a turn for the worse and the actor passed away late yesterday.

The series, which is titled "Bel-Air," will be based on the Morgan Cooper viral video, which reimagines the NBC comedy series as a drama. The trailer, which Morgan Cooper posted last year, received over 5 million views on YouTube.</span></p>
Set in modern-day America, "Bel-Air" is a one-hour drama based on the 90's sitcom, which focuses on the show's original storyline: Will Smith's harrowing journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. The series was first announced as being in development last month.

Cooper is attached to co-write and direct the project and will also serve as a co-executive producer. Chris Collins will serve as showrunner and executive producer in addition to co-writing the script with Cooper. Smith will executive produce via Westbrook Studios along with Quincy Jones, Benny Medina, and the show's original series creators Andy and Susan Borowitz. Miguel Melendez and Westbrook Studios' Terence Carter will also executive produce. Also, Westbrook Studios and Universal Television will produce.

In relevant news, HBO Max announced they would air an unscripted "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" reunion special. The upcoming special will include Will Smith and Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell, Daphne Maxwell Reid, and Alfonso Ribeiro, as will DJ Jazzy Jeff. The episode is set to tape on September 10 and will debut on HBO Max around Thanksgiving. A rumor circulated around the Internet that <strong>Will Smith</strong> actually had a bad upbringing and his father was never actually around.

That awful moment when you learn that this wasn’t scripted. Will Smith’s character was actually supposed to brush off the whole thing, but Will’s father actually had left him when he was younger and he just fell apart on the set and the hug at the end was from one actor to another, not one character to another. The Real Story Behind the Most Heartbreaking Scene in 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air'

<h2 class="p1">Actor <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/alfonso-ribeiro/">Alfonso Ribeiro</a> is suing <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/fortnite/">Fortnite</a> and NBA2K developers from selling a dance he popularized on the show <i>Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. </i></h2>
<p class="p1">In two lawsuits filed on Monday, Ribeiro says the companies have “unfairly profited” from using his likeness and exploiting his “protected creative expression.” The lawsuit names Fortnite developer Epic Games Inc., and Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., creator of the NBA 2K series and their several subsidiaries.</p>
<p class="p1">The lawsuit asks a California federal court to ban the use, selling or displaying of the dance. Also, Ribeiro is in the process of copyrighting the dance moves. The lawsuit says he is “inextricably linked” to the dance. The court documents tell Ribeiro first danced during the show’s 1991 Christmas episode.</p>

<p class="p3"><span class="s1">According to the suit, Ribeiro says Epic is creating false endorsements and is asking the court for damages and that both companies stop making money from the dance moves.</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s1">"Epic intentionally induces others to perform these dances and mark them with those hashtags, which give attribution to and endorse Fortnite the game," the lawsuit states. "Epic has consistently sought to exploit African-American talent, in particular in Fortnite, by copying their dances and movements and sell them through emotes."</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s1">Fortnite is extremely popular. Epic Games announced 78.3 million users logged in to play Fortnite in August 2018 and the NBA 2K series is one of the biggest sports games in the video game industry. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s1">Currently, the game sells what Ribeiro claims as his signature dance moves under the name “Fresh.” Take-Two interactive says the basketball game NBA 2K also sold the dance moves as an in-game purchase under the name “So Fresh.”</span></p>

<h3 class="p3"><span class="s1">What is Fortnite?</span></h3>

<p class="p3"><span class="s1">Fortnite Battle Royale is a game that puts 100 players against each with the last one standing winning the game. The game offers in-game purchases called “Emotes,” which have become extremely popular that gamers all over the world post videos of themselves are doing the dance movies. Popular hashtags including #fortnitedance and #fortnitevideos showcase teens doing the emote found in the game. </span></p>

<h3 class="p3"><span class="s1">Dance moves lawsuits</span></h3>
<p class="p3"><span class="s1">Ribeiro is not the first celebrity with a signature dance move to sue the developers of Fortnite. Attorney David L. Hecht says he and his law firm are representing rapper 2 Milly and Russell Horning in lawsuits against Epic Games over Fortnite’s use of their dance choreography in their game. Horning created a dance called the "Floss" in 2016, while 2 Milly created the "Milly Rock" around 2015.</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s1">Dance moves lawsuits may not be the end of the suits says Attorney Hect, "More plaintiffs are coming out of the woodwork each day.”</span></p>

'Fresh Prince' Actor Sues Fortnite Developers Over "Carlton Dance"

<h2 class="p1"><i>The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air </i>helped launch the acting career of Will Smith.</h2>
<p class="p1">Recently, the actor opened up about what makes the TV series so cringe-worthy for him during a recently taped appearance on <i>The Graham Norton Show. </i></p>

<p class="p3"><span class="s1">&#147;It was my very first role, and I was very, very focused on being successful, so I learned the whole script and everyone else&#146;s lines,&#148; Smith said. &#147;If you watch the first four or five episodes, you can see I&#146;m mouthing other people&#146;s lines.&nbsp;It&#146;s terrible and I can&#146;t bear to watch it.&#148;</span></p>

<p class="p3"><span class="s1">It looks like it may be worth watching the TV pilot. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s1">Will Smith played the character of the same name for six seasons, from 1990 to 1996. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s1">Smith, 49, also talked about a &#147;Fresh Prince&#148; reunion, telling Norton, &#147;Man, I&#146;d have to be Uncle Phil in that one now ? I&#146;m nearly 50!&#148;&nbsp;</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s1">Will Smith also spoke to Graham Norton about his new movie, <i>Bright, </i>which hit Netflix on December 22nd. </span></p>

Will Smith Reveals Why He Can't Watch Himself On ‘The Fresh Prince’

<h2>Will Smith reveals if he is planning on creating a <em>Fresh Prince of Bel-Air </em>reboot.</h2>
Will Smith is currently traveling across the country promoting his new movie <em>Suicide Squad. </em>Along the way, he has sang some of his classic songs and embraced the music and shows that have made him famous. But, one thing Will Smith will not be doing is a <em>Fresh Prince </em>reboot.

Last year, there were reports that Will Smith's production company, Overbrook Entertainment, was working on a <em>Fresh Prince of Bel-Air </em>reboot that will put a new spin on the classic series. But all of that hype turned out to be nothing more than a rumor.

When Will Smith asked whether he would be interested in a <em>Fresh Prince </em>reboot, Will Smith replied by saying, “I don’t think ever, like pretty close to when hell freezes over… We’re going to leave that one alone.”

Maybe some things in life are better left un-touched and <em>Fresh Prince of Bel-Air </em>is one of them.
