<h2 id="page-title" class="title">'Empire' Producer Plans to 'Beg' Eminem to Be on Second Season</h2>
During yesterday's 'Good Morning America' film and TV producer Brian Grazer, the producer behind 'Empire' stopped by to promote his new book, 'A Curious Mind: The Secret to a Bigger Life'.

During the course of the interview, George Stephanopoulos asked him about the future of 'Empire' in season 2. Here's what Grazer had to say:
<blockquote>"Eminem, I know, loves our show. And I produced 8 Mile. I'm going to beg him to get on our show. He and Oprah Winfrey. Somehow I'm going to get one or both of them on our show." Since the executive producer of 'Empire', Lee Daniels, worked with Oprah Winfrey in the past, I don't see it hard to believe that Oprah will make an appearance in Season 2. As for Eminem? Well, he has not done much since '8 Mile' but, the actor did have a cameo on 'The Interview' so who knows.

The show’s premiere ranked as Fox’s highest-rated debut in three years. Viewership has increased continuously; Empire is the first series in at least 23 years to have its viewership increase week to week for its first five episodes. With the growing number of fans expect actors, models, and musicians of all genres lining up to join the cast of 'Empire'.

<h2>'8 Mile' movie outtakes show extras battling for screen time in the movie</h2>
These '8 Mile' outtakes really show how incredible Eminem was on set the movie. During the production of the rap battle scenes, the director hired dozens of extras to work on the movie. After several days of filming, the extras got bored with being on the set and often tired of hearing the same routines over and over again.

Then, the director noticed that a lot of the extras in the crowd were rapping between the scenes and decided to hold a rap competition for a chance to be in the movie. After a few days of competitions, four lucky actors were selected to battle Eminem in the movie.

At first, Eminem was told that he would just pantomime rapping in order to save his voice. But, the crowd started to make fun of him. By, the time the second rapper battled, Eminem started improvising and battled rapped against his once background extra, turned rapper/actor.

This is a great video to see a behind the scenes look into filming of 8-mile and how a director connected with the crew on set and created an amazing improvisational performance.

'8 Mile' Movie Shows Extras Battling for Screen Time [VIDEO]

<h2>Casting directors are seeking talent that look like the rapper Eminem with bleached hair for a promotional event filming in Wilmington, North Carolina.</h2>
NCasting posted a casting call looking for 30 Caucasian males 5ft'8 and up that look the rapper Eminem with bleached hair. The event will take place April 28th in downtown Wilmington for less than an hour. Talents will be compensated $50 cash.

Rockstar Games reportedly rejected a film adaptation of Grand Theft Auto starring Eminem in the early 2000s.
In a recent appearance on Bugzy Malone's Grandest Game podcast, Kirk Ewing, an industry veteran and friend of GTA creators Sam and Dan Houser, explained that shortly after Grand Theft Auto III was released in 2001, Sam turned down a $5 million offer for the movie rights. Top Gun director Tony Scott was meant to helm the film while Eminem&mdash;who had just released The Marshall Mathers LP the year before and won Best Rap Album Best Rap Solo Performance at the 2001 GRAMMYs&mdash;was set to star.
"[The agent] said, 'Kirk, we've got Eminem to star, and it's a Tony Scott film. $5 million on the nose. Are you interested?'" Ewing said. "And I phoned up Sam, and I said: 'Listen to this. They want Eminem in the Grand Theft Auto movie and Tony Scott to direct.' And he said: 'Not interested'&hellip; They realized that the media franchise that they had was bigger than any movie that was going on at the time."
Even though they never created the GTA movie, Em starred in 8 Mile the year after, which won him an Academy Award for Best Original Song with "Lose Yourself."

Rockstar Games Turned Down a 'Grand Theft Auto' Movie.

<h2>Allegedly, Suge Knight tried to have Eminem killed twice.</h2>
Suge Knight, the founder and CEO of Death Row Records, one of the biggest record labels in hip hop history, allegedly tried to have rapper Eminem, who signed with Knight's rival label Aftermath Entertainment, killed on two different occasions.

According to Eminem's former bodyguard, Byron "Big Naz" Williams, the first incident took place in 2001 during the Source Hip Hop Awards. "There was a situation at the Source Awards," said Big Naz in an interview with <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/MurderMasterVEVO" rel="nofollow">Murder Master Music Show</a>, "which was our first encounter with Suge Knight and his henchmen.

"They had it to where the artists couldn't sit with the bodyguards. I think that was by design because I think they really wanted the artists to be able to network with each other, but it also gives people who got beef with other artists to get at them.

"I notice Em is in the aisle and he is beefing with all these guys in red shirts. This is what they said: 'Death Row motherf-----s. Suge Knight sent us to strong arm Eminem and it’s going down.'

"I had to snatch him up, I had to call Dre and his bodyguards and tell them what was going on.

"I said, 'Look, I need you all to have that car around when I call you all. But the way they had it set up, the limos can only stay seated for, like, 30 seconds at a time in front of the red carpet for security reasons.

"So long story short, we ended up going backstage, Eminem did his presentation and we had to watch out for guys backstage. So I pretty much had to have him stand behind me and I just had to be on knockout mode, man.

"So it was me, Dre, Dre's bodyguards, we were in beast mode the whole time. So anybody that got anywhere close trying to get an autograph or trying to talk, trying to speak, they were gonna get laid out, man because that was the kind of atmosphere that was set up."

On the second occasion, Eminem was met by "20 Honolulu police officers" in Hawaii and told him that "Death Row is Here."

"When the plane lands we are greeted by 20 Honolulu police officers and they told us that Death Row is here, they tried to hem [Snoop Dogg] up.

"Suge Knight had sent 50 guys to try to break up the show. When we got there, vacation mode was over, we were locking and loading, putting on bullet proof vests with their wives and girlfriends sitting next to them.

"We had to have Interscope pick up the tab to put Honolulu police with each bodyguard, because of how deep Suge was over there."

Suge Knight is currently sitting behind bars after getting charged with murder and attempted murder after running a man over in California on set of Straight Outta Compton. Knight pleaded not guilty and is facing life in prison.

This news comes only a few hours after Eminiem is rumored to be working on a <a href="http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/eminem-drake-diss-track-paul-rosenberg-ebro-darden-respond-a7171316.html">Drake diss track</a>. Radio host Ebro Darden, explains “I told Drake I heard the rumour was Eminem was going to gear up to come after him."

“[Drake] laughed and said, ‘that’s not going to happen. He’ll never do that. And if he did I got something for him too.’”

But, those rumors were quickly put to rest after Shady records co-founder Paul Rosenberg Tweeted out ‘Slow news day.” while also retweeting a Drake Tweet from 2009 reading “Eminem = Greatness”.

Suge Knight Allegedly Tried to Have Eminem Killed

<h2>15-year-old boy was arrested after Instagramming Eminem Columbine-related lyrics.</h2>
Police arrested a 15-year-old boy in Fresno, California on Monday after he posted a photo on Instagram that shared lyrics from Eminem's song "I'm Back" with a reference to the 1999 Columbine High School shooting.

According to reports, San Joaquin Memorial high School officials notified police of the sophmore's post that read,&nbsp;"I take seven kids from Columbine, stand &#146;em all in a line, add an AK-47, a revolver, a nine, a MAC-11 and it oughta solve the problem of mine. And that&#146;s a whole school of bullies shot up all at one time. I&#146;m just like Shady and just as crazy as the world was over this whole Y2K thing."

Due to the "alleged" Instagram threat, Tuesday classes were cancelled at local schools.

The Instagram post led to the student's arrest on charges of making terrorist threats, which is a felony and disrupting school activity,&nbsp;<a href="http://www.fresnobee.com/news/local/crime/article33204753.html" target="_blank">according to The Fresno Bee</a>. Police also initiated an investigation of the boy's home, where they found several guns, ammunition and a bulletproof vest.

At a press conference, Fresno police Chief Jerry Dyer said investigators&nbsp;&#147;have every reason to believe that there was potential for a threat to be carried out," referencing the boy's "socially awkward," "loner" characteristics.

"These are really all of the things we look for in individuals that historically have been involved in incidents like Columbine," he added. "So we&#146;re very fortunate that this was brought to our attention."

The child is currently in juvenile detention center and the student's family lawyer is claiming the account was hacked.

Teen Arrested After Posting Eminem Lyrics on Instagram

<h2>Back in the day, Eminem apparently turned down $8 million to co-star alongside 50 Cent in a movie where they would play fictional gang members in his Detroit hometown.</h2>
“It was a film where we were supposed to be playing two guys from different sides of the tracks,” 50 Cent explained to Q magazine (via <a href="http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/movies/eminem-turned-down-8-million-movie-offer/story-e6frfmvr-1227499973495">News.com.au</a>) in an interview that’s set to run later this month. “His thing was he didn’t like to leave Detroit … So I said, ‘Hey, they want to give you eight million dollars to do it and we don’t have to leave Detroit, so you can go home every night!’”

Eminem was not interested: “He read the synopsis and was like, ‘It’s cool but we should do something like The Warriors,'” referencing the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhIRuAsiFQQ">1979 cult movie</a> about the rivalry between New York City gangs.

50 argued: “‘I said, ‘The Warriors? What the fuck, Em? The Warriors? Did you just hear me say they want to give you eight million dollars and you don’t have to leave Detroit?’ He didn’t give a f**k.”

So the movie was never made. Probably for the better of Eminem and 50 cent's acting careers. However, that money would have come in handy about now, since 50 Cent is facing bankruptcy and Eminem got sued $8 million over an uncleared sample.

Eminem Turned Down Millions Not to Star in a Movie With 50 Cent

<h2>Eminem has recently revealed his battle with drug addiction and what he had to do to overcome it.</h2>
In an emotional magazine article how the addiction caused him to balloon to 203 pounds, Eminem reveals that a drug overdose changed his life forever.

In an article for <a href="http://www.mensjournal.com/magazine/eminem-the-home-body-20150731" target="_blank">Men's Journal</a>, Eminem explained how he was frequently taking pills like Vicodin and Valium and drinking alcohol until he suffered an overdose in December 2007.

It was then, he says, that he realized how much weight he had gained.

'In 2007, I overdosed on pills, and I went into the hospital. I was close to 230 pounds. I'm not sure how I got so big, but I have ideas."

He adds: 'The coating on the Vicodin and the Valium I'd been taking for years leaves a hole in your stomach, so to avoid a stomachache, I was constantly eating - and eating badly.'

The 42-year-old rapper would order steak from an expensive restaurant almost every night, causing him to pile on weight, break out in pimples and have other health issues, according to his mother Debbie Nelson.

He became depressed and anti-social, she added. He was also talking several prescription drugs, including Vicodin, a pain killer that treats severe pain, and Valium a medication that treats anxiety and muscle spasms.

When he was admitted to a hospital after his overdose, doctors reported that he was clinically "obsese" and close to the "very obese" mark. In addition, Eminem revealed that his organs were shutting down.

Eminem would later be released from the hospital but, a month later he would relapse again forcing him to enter a rehabilitation facility. After rehab, he realized that he needed to lose weight.
'I also needed to figure out a way to function sober,' Eminem writes in the Men's Journal article.
'Unless I was blitzed out of my mind, I had trouble sleeping. So I started running.'
However, while his treadmill sessions helped him to sleep, he quickly became addicted to them.
Soon, he was running 17 miles a day like a 'f***ing hamster' and scrutinizing the number of calories he was burning. He dropped to 149 pounds and began to suffer injuries such as muscle tears.
Eminem decided to 'dial back' and try out another means of working out - exercise DVDs.
'I know a lot of these DVD guys are wacky, but I'm alone in my gym; I need someone on the TV yelling to motivate me. Besides, some of this s*** is entertaining,' the world-famous rapper writes.
One of the first DVD's Eminem tried out was Shaun T's Insanity, which promotes a challenging workout routine. He said he loved it so much he quit running altogether. But, after Shaun T's workouts stopped working he changed to the P90X workout program and finally to the Body Beast workout, which he continues to do every morning.
