Suicide Squad is the most buzzed about movie on Social Media.
Following the release of
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad director, David Ayer, filmed reshoots for the movie in order to make the movie more "fun" and less depressing. And now
Suicide Squad is the most talked about movie on social media beating
Star Wars: Rogue One.
According to Deadline, Warner Bros.'
Suicide Squad is the biggest movie of the summer. The movie has generated over 66,000 different social media conversations according to ComScore's PreAct and beating other highly anticipated movies such as Disney’s
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the Harry Potter spin-off
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. In addition,
Suicide Squad's total conversations are totaling 1.3 million beating
Star Trek Beyond, Ghostbusters, Independence Day 2, and
The Legend of Tarzan.

This news should not be that surprising. The release dates for
Rogue One and
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them do not hit theaters for another several months. Meanwhile, Warner Bros.' is ramping up the amount of commercials, press releases, and actors are starting to hit the town marketing the movie revealing Jared Leto method acting stories. So, it's natural that
Suicide Squad to become the most talked about movie right now. However, when you look at
Ghostbusters social media reach, it's a little worrisome for studio executives. Melissa McCarthy may not be "afraid of no ghost", but I guarantee studio executives are afraid of a box office flop.
