California movie theater shows R-rated Sausage Party movie trailer to kids before Finding Dory.
In the trailer for the new Seth Rogen movie Sausage Party there's several scenes about food and the humans that eat them, a talking Twinkie that says, Once you see that sh*t, itll f*ck you up for life," and other graphic scenes. Ironically, the computer animated movie trailer was shown before a screening of Finding Dory to a crowd of children.
The mistake occurred at the Brenden Concord 14 in Concord, California, earlier this month. Playing that trailer was a one-time honest mistake by a theater manager moving screens around in effort to accommodate several large last-minute groups wanting to see Dory, said Walter Eichinger, Brendens VP of operations, in a statement. The wrong movie was started by mistake It was caught soon, but not until the trailer played. We regret it, apologize for it, and we are not happy that it happened.
This sounds extremely traumatizing for any kid. I'm still traumatized by The Lion King.
