“No More Sheldon”: Young Sheldon Stars Support Writers Strike After Season 7 News

Date:

Support from NBC ‘Young Sheldon’ Stars for Writers Strike Following Season 7 Announcement

Amid the recent announcement of Young Sheldon’s highly anticipated seventh season, the hit CBS family comedy cast members have rallied behind the ongoing Writers Guild strike of 2023, and the sixth season of the show concluded with an emotionally charged one-hour special featuring Sheldon’s departure to Germany and the Coopers grappling with the aftermath of a devastating tornado. Fans eagerly await the next chapter in the Coopers’ journey, but the wait for Young Sheldon season 7 might be extended due to the current strike.

Lance Barber, Raegan Revord, and Zoe Perry, the talented actors who portray critical characters in Young Sheldon, demonstrated their solidarity with the writers by actively participating in the Writers Guild picketing. Their visible support serves as a strong message to the industry about the importance of fair and equitable compensation for the creative team behind the show.

Accompanying an image on social media, Kilpatrick, one of the stars, captioned it with the words, “No more Sheldon ’til they shell out,” succinctly summarizing the writers’ pursuit of equal and appropriate remuneration. The Writers Guild strike commenced in early May and has continued for nearly a month. Depending on the duration of the strike, it could cause a delay in the premiere of Young Sheldon season 7, despite the initial plans for a 2023 release.
