New Hot Felon Nicknamed 'Prison Bae' Gets Modeling Contract
Another felon’s mugshot has gone viral on social media, landing him a modeling contract.
Mekhi Alante Lucky, 20, from North Carolina, has signed a deal with Atlanta-based St. Claire’s Modeling Agency.
Despite getting arrested in 2016 for speeding and driving a stolen vehicle, his mugshot went viral on social media with the 20-year-old being called #PrisonBae.
The agency introduced Lucky last week and he already has over 20,000 followers on social media. Lucky’s pictures went viral thanks to his unique condition of having one blue eye and one brown eye. This is called heterochromia, which affects only 1 in 5 of the world’s population.
Lucky has had a troublesome past, being arrested five times in one year. In addition to the stolen vehicle charges, the model was booked for alleged assault on a female, alleged breaking and entering plus resisting a public officer, and twice, for misdemeanor violations of his parole. That said, he has a promising career ahead of him.
In 2014, Jeremy Meeks of California was arrested on firearm charges and grand theft. His mugshot went viral on social media and earned him the name #HotFelon, which launched a modeling career for him when he was released from prison in 2016.
Meeks is now dating a daughter of a billionaire and heiress to the Topshop clothing empire.
