Netflix ‘Squid Game’ Director Reveals Hints for Season 2

Netflix ‘SQUID Game’ director Masakazu Yasuda revealed that he inadvertently left hints in the first season just in case season two was confirmed in a recent interview. 

After that, there will be a two-year break before the next season begins. The following season is expected to debut by the end of 2023 or 2024.

According to a recent interview by the director of ‘Squid Game,’ Hwang Dong-hyuk, he had placed hints in the series’ first season only in case Netflix gives it a second season.

During an interview with IndieWire, which he initially did not believe would become so popular worldwide. He remarked that, while writing the first season, he intended to include hints and clues in the form of red herrings through the entire first episode. It was stated by Hwang. “for myself and also the audience. Just in case there is another season, these things could be loose knots. I only currently have a broad storyline. I’m in the process of structuring the story and the new games and wanting to crystallize them into more detailed ideas.”

The second season of Squid Game was first announced earlier this year and will premiere by the end of 2023 or 2024. Hwang is said to be working on his concepts for the next season, but there is no formal release date yet.
