Michael Jackson’s Death is Getting Turned into a TV Series

Date:

Michael Jackson’s final days alive are now being turned into a TV drama.

Hollywood is looking into creating a TV show surrounding Michael Jackson. Warner Bros. Television Group snagged the rights to turn Tavis Smiley’s Before You Judge Me: The Triumph and Tragedy of Michael Jackson’s Last Days, before the book has even been written.

The book and serious will focus on the last week of Michael Jackson’s life, when he was preparing for the This Is It concert a series of 50 shows at London’s 02 Arena. Michael Jackson unfortunately died of cardiac arrest in June 2009, a mere 18 days before the concerts were expected to begin. The deal for Smiley’s book includes the rights to adopt another book based around the author and TV host’s relationship with poet Maya Angelou.

Because the book only cover 16 weeks, we probably won’t see any of the amazing dance moves Michael Jackson is known for. But, it will be interesting to see who casting directors will choose to play Michael Jackson.
