‘Wonder Man’ to hit the screen

There’s a new Marvel Disney+ series based on the character of ‘Wonder Man,’ who was an early Avenger. The film may begin filming in 2023 and be directed by Shang-Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton according to reports from The Hollywood Reporter.

If the series stays true to the comic books, the story will revolve around the rich and famous Simon Williams, the son of a Hollywood stuntman who inherits his father’s munitions factory. He spends his days as CEO, but it all falls apart when Stark Industries takes over their main competition – leaving him behind bars with nothing left to lose!

When Steve Rogers was given powers and recruited by Baron Zemo to join the ‘Masters of Evil,’ he quickly redeemed himself later on in life as an Avenger. ‘Wonder Man’s’ tissue has been radioactively treated with ionic energy which gives him immortality as well as strength and durability- even if it means going up against some pretty tough opponents!

In the ’70s, ‘Wonder Man’ was subject to a lawsuit from DC Comics due to his closeness with ‘Wonder Woman.’ The matter ended up being resolved eventually.

Like all Marvel films, Sarah Finn will be handling the casting.

According to IMDB, Sarah Finn is the casting director behind the “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” movie. She was the casting director behind many Disney movies, including “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3,” “The Lion King” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”

Sarah Finn Casting was recently at the 30th Annual Artios Award in Los Angeles. Marvel’s lead casting director shared what she looks for in an actor before every audition. It’s called “star quality.”

The upcoming movie is big; casting directors primarily contact actors to work on the film through talent agencies. If you are interested in a speaking role in the upcoming movie, get your talent agent for an audition. If you do not have an agent, check out our guide to landing an acting agent here.
