He recently appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers and revealed what it was like taking the role:
“If you’re a fan of the comic books you’ll know who Negan is. It’s the real deal, he’s a game changer. And it’s a complete 180 from what I’m doing on The Good Wife. Which as an actor is like a dream come true. I get to be the biggest ass in the world. When I took The Walking Dead, my mom was like ‘What is this going to mean with The Good Wife?’ She was devastated that it could be the end. And I was like ‘Mom, keep your pants on.’ “All the spoilers are pointing that toward season seven of The Good Wife will be Jeffrey Dean Morgan's last. And it's already too late for The Walking Dead fans to protest main character deaths at the hands of Negan. The second half of The Walking Dead season six has finished production. Whoever is going to bite the dust at the hands of Negan and his mighty baseball bat is already doomed. Will it be Glenn, like in the comics? Or will it be Maggie, as hinted by Lauren Cohan's new haircut?
