Eddie Murphy will be returning to his roots as Axel Foley in a sequel to Beverly Hills Cop.
Paramount has recently announced that Beverly Hills Cop will hit theaters on March 25, 2016. This will be the fourth movie of the Beverly Hills Cop franchise.
The script is written by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, the writers of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol.
Eddie Murphy will reprise his role as the comedic detective.
In 2013, CBS ordered a Beverly Hills Cop television series which centered on the adventures of Axel Foley’s cop son and his father played by Eddie Murphy. However, the network would later pass on the project at the last minute.
