What If" movie premiere event after tons of fans showed up.
According to
The Hollywood Reporter, the Mexican distributor of the upcoming feature film "
What If" had to cancel a red carpet event that was scheduled to feature
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter Series) due to crowd control problems.
Distributor Diamond Films Mexico said Mexico City's civil protection agency ordered it to suspend the event, scheduled for a Mexico City shopping mall. The reason? An unexpectedly large number of fans who turned out to see Radcliffe prior to the event. [via>
"We appreciate the response and enthusiasm for this event," Diamond Films said. "Sorry, but this decision is out of our control." The organizer said the romantic Comedy What If will premiere this week but, without a red carpet.
The romantic comedy is directed by
Michael Dowse is based on a play by
T.J. Dawe and
Michael Rinaldi.
Daniel Radcliffe plays a single young man who meets a young woman played by
Zoe Kazan who already has a boyfriend. The two have a hard time to be just friends but complications arise from both sides.
