Colin Farrell in Talks to Star in HBO's 'True Detective' Season 2

Colin Farrell reportedly in talks to star in True Detective's Season 2.

Deadline is reporting that Colin Farrell is in "deep negotiations" to star in the second season of HBO's 'True Detective'. Details surrounding the second season of 'True Detective' have been extremely vague, and for the most part kept under wraps. Which has led to a lot of speculation about the number of leading actors, who is in the cast, and who will actually become the director in the series.

But, Deadline is pretty confident that Colin Farrell will be in the new True Detective series:
I can tell you that Colin Farrell is deep in negotiations to play one of what is expected to be three main roles in Season Two. HBO has been mum about cast so far, as rumors have swirled that Jessica Chastain and some others will be one of the other leads. HBO would not confirm any of the potential castings, but I am confident that Farrell will be in the cast.
This may work out great for the actor whose movies have not done really well recently. With “Winter’s Tale” bombing in the box office, leading actor Colin Farrel has added another poor performing movie to his resume.

The romantic fantasy from Warner Bros. is expected to make less than $10 million dollars over Presidents Day weekend. That would make this the third movie in a row in which Colin Farrell has played a leading role and the movie flopped.

Maybe a television series will work out for the better for Colin Farrell.
