Captain America Fan Proposes To Girlfriend in Front of Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell at Comic Con

Date:

Captain America stars Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell were overwhelmed when a fan proposed to his girlfriend while they were meeting their favorite superheroes.

The Marvel actors were greeting fans at Salt Lake Comic Con when a cosplaying romantic got down on one knee to pop the question.

It was a beautiful moment captured on camera; Hayley’s reaction alone is perfect alone. The moment occurred during a photo opportunity during the convention.

Lucky girl Kelsey Jenkins, who was dressed as Black Widow, shared snaps of her Captain America cosplaying boyfriend getting down on one knee in front of the real-life Marvel superheroes.

She wrote: “@HayleyAtwell @ChrisEvans thank you so much for being there. It was such a shock! You both are awesome! #iAmEngaged (sic)”

The two stars were touched too, with the Captain America actor admitted he felt “a overwhelming sense of gratitude”.

He tweeted: “Wow….I’ve had the most amazing time at #SLCC15. I’ve been to a few conventions before but I’ve never had the opportunity to interact with the fans on such a personal level. They shared some wonderful stories that I was honoured to hear.

“I’m filled with a overwhelming sense of gratitude. Thank you to all of my loyal, sincere, loving, and passionate fans from the very bottom of my heart. You’ve reminded me how gratuitously lucky I am. #weareallconnected.”

Hayley Atwell, who plays Agent Carter in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, added: “Today at #SLCC15 in the middle of a photo op with Chris and I, a man got down on his knee and proposed with a ring to his girlfriend.

“It was one of the most moving and beautiful things I have been witness to. Congratulations to you both. May you have a blissful future xx (sic)”
