Du Jour magazine about her experience directing the new film
Unbroken, and what she wants to do in Hollywood in the future.

"I’ve never been comfortable as an actor; I’ve never loved being in front of the camera,” said Jolie. “I didn’t ever think I could direct, but I hope I’m able to have a career at it because I’m much happier.” The magazine reports that when asked if she plans to give up acting entirely, Jolie smiled and said, “Absolutely."

Angelina Jolie is currently working on the movie By the Sea, a movie she wrote, is directing, producing and acting opposite her husband Brad Pitt, also a producer.
“Compared to
Unbroken, this film is a walk in the park,” Jolie said of
By the Sea. “The tricky thing is directing myself and directing Brad. It’s hard, dramatic material, and we’re balancing.”

Angelina Jolie also talked about how it was a dream come true to work on the movie
Unbroken, even thought it had been a project that was never expected to actually be produced. "I saw these four sentences on
Unbroken," she said, describing when Universal gave her a list of projects to look through, "I went home and I said to Brad, ‘I’m really curious about this film — it’s a triumph of the human spirit finding faith and forgiveness, and this man’s life seems so interesting.’ And Brad said, ‘Oh, honey, that project has been around forever.’ ”
