ABC Family announces a nationwide online open casting call to find a young Nicki Minaj.

ABC Family, who plans on changing their name to Freeform in January, is searching high and low to find a younger version Nicki Minaj. The network announced it will hold an open online casting call for young girls to play the young Nicki Minaj in the upcoming TV series about the rapper's childhood and life. The casting call is looking for a girl between the ages of 11 and 13 to play Nicki Minaj. The series will be a half-hour sitcom that centers around Minaj's childhood in Queens, New York in the 1990s after her family's immigration from Trinidad. Nicki Minaj will produce and appear in the TV show, as well as write the lyrics for the younger version of her self. To access the script and upload audition video, download the free Disney Applause app, select “ABC Family’s Online Open Call” and follow instructions. All auditions will be accepted until November 15th.
