In addition, producers are looking for "men with military experience, specifically those experienced with a 21-gun salute and flag folding." LBJ centers on the political turmoil that Vice President Johnson faced when he was placed into the presidency after the assassination of John F. Kennedy. With political battles on both sides of the aisle, Johnson struggles to heal a nation and secure his legacy by passing the historic Civil Rights Act.
