Web series is now casting speaking roles in Los Angeles, California.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming this Winter 2019 in Los Angeles, California.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  1. SADRINE: 20 – Attractive bi-racial (African American/ Caucasian) female. Somewhat quiet, insecure, single mother. Socially inept. Extremely uncomfortable with the attention she receives from men, due to a childhood of being bullied about her looks from family and peers, and emotional and physical abuse inflicted by her mother. Cannot relate to peers her age as a result of being extremely sheltered from the real world. Relates life situations to resolutions from TV shows and films she watches. Finds it difficult to say no to anyone, for fear of upsetting them. ****NOTE: Actress playing Sadrine must convincingly be able to play ages 20 – 40 throughout all episodes of web-series).
  2. FRAN: early 30s – Sadrine’s mother. sharp-tongued bi-racial female. Insecure about her lack of education and thinks she only has her looks to offer anyone. Revels at the attention she receives from men. A bit ‘Carmen Jones’…in public. Buys and flaunts her expensive clothing and furniture to give her the “false” feeling that she is better than others. Extremely insecure about losing her man, who is 10 years younger. ****NOTE: Actress playing Fran must convincingly be able to play ages early 30’s – early 50’s throughout all episodes of web-series).
  3. LAILA: 19 – African American female. Sadrine’s co-worker and friend. Friendly, funny. curious. Older than her years. She feels sympathy for Sadrine being a struggling single mother. She’s always trying to set her up with a man.
  4. T.J.: 23 – African American male. Tall and attractive. Gregarious personality and great sense of humor. He is liked by everyone – especially, the ladies – but, he is not the smooth playboy that his appearance would suggest. Gets extremely close to Sadrine and opens up another part of her personality. Responsible for her sexual awakening, as well as a major life-altering moment in her life.
  5. MRS. JONES: early 50’s – T.J.s mother .African American female. “Stereotypical” homemaker. Wears aprons and pearls, cooks, cleans. Mildly curious about the young woman that T.J. is involved with.
  6. TAMMY: 18 – T.j.s sister. African American female. Stereotypical ‘bouncy’ teenager. Polite to Sadrine…as she is to all of the ladies that like him, but has no interest in his dating life.

[LOS ANGELES] PILOT / WEB-SERIES

“Forked Road” is the story of a teen girl coming into young womanhood, from an excessively traumatic home life. Through everything, she chooses to remain on a positive path as an adult. However, her naivete often blocks her journey by the decisions she makes and the people she unwittingly trusts.

[This web-series will cover 20+ years and have many characters that come and go, however the pilot episode will be set in 1979, with the characters listed below]:
