My name is Tanya McRae and I’m a casting producer in Los Angeles with Pitman Casting. We’re casting a new docu-series for a major cable network, and we’re looking for ONE amazing woman to build an entire television show around! If people keep telling you that you should star in your own TV Show, this could be it!!!
This new series will follow a young and dynamic African American woman as she tries to manage her life, career, friends, family and the man she loves. But there is one major glitch in her world… her family does NOT like her man!
The show’s leading lady feels her boyfriend/fiancé/husband is her “Romeo”, but her parents or family thinks he is totally wrong for her and want him OUT of her life. Think of “The Cosby Show” meets “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and “Romeo & Juliet” – with the central character as a young African American woman with class, smarts, ambition, a close-knit family, and is battling the age old dilemma of ‘no man is good enough’ for her in the eyes of her family!!!
REQUIREMENTS:
·     Must live in the same city or near parents/family
·     Has been dating, engaged, or married to the same man for a few years
·     Clashes with parents and/or other family members about current man
We’re looking for a woman who has a very outgoing personality, is incredibly ambitious, fiercely loyal to her family, and can’t imagine life without her man in it. A woman who wants and almost has it all… but is struggling to keep it all together in the name of love!
