'Taliban Shuffle' Starring Tina Fey is Now Filming in New Mexico
Tina Fey's new movie is ramping up production on the West Coast.
The Hollywood Reporter:
Paramount has picked up The Taliban Shuffle, an adaptation of journalist Kim Barker’s wartime memoir as a starring vehicle for Tina Fey.
Fey is attached to star in and produce the adaptation with her former Saturday Night Live boss and 30 Rock cohort Lorne Michaels.
According to OneHeadlightInk, Tina Fey and Margot Robbie
(The Wolf of Wallstreet, Pan Am) may very well bring their “Taliban Shuffle” out to shoot in New Mexico.
Production is set to begin on January 2015 and the movie centers around a memoir that explores Barker’s arrival as a fish out of water in Kabul, filing stories about militants, being a woman in wartime Iraq and Pakistan, dealing with boredom interspersed with dashes of violence, and the promiscuous war-correspondent culture.
