"Star Wars: Episode VII" Win a Role in the New Star Wars Movie

Here's your chance to win a trip to be in the new "Star Wars: Episode 7" feature film.

In a video that was filmed on location in Abu Dhabi and aired on "Good Morning America", J.J. Abrams, who is directing the new "Star Wars: Episode VII," announced a new project "Star Wars: Force for Change".

The "Star Wars: Force for Change" is a new project that he said is dedicated to finding solutions to some of the world's biggest problems.

The first "Star Wars Force for Change" campaign will raise money and awareness for the United Nations Children's Fund's (UNICEF) Innovaction Labs and the program will help the world's most vulnerable children.

To support the launch of the new program, Lucasfilms has donated $1 million, and fans can contribute directly via Omaze.com/StarWars for a chance to appear in the "Star Wars: Episode VII".

The grand prize includes airfare and accommodations to London for one winner and a guest and behind-the-scenes access on the closed set of "Star Wars: Episode VII" as Abrams' VIP guests. The winner will have the opportunity to meet members of the cast and will be transformed by the film's makeup and costume teams into a "Star Wars" character and filmed for a scene in the movie (ABC).

To support the launch of "Star Wars": Force for Change, Disney -- which owns Lucasfilm, the company founded by George Lucas, the creator of the iconic film franchise-- has committed $1 million, and fans can now contribute directly at Omaze.com/StarWars for a chance to appear in "Star Wars: Episode VII."

Winners will receive the following:

  • Shoot a scene for Star Wars: Episode VII

  • Be J.J. Abrams’ VIP guest on set in London

  • Flight and hotel included for 2

There are various levels of contribution to the campaign. For each level, participants can receive a "Star Wars"-themed item.

For every $10 contribution made through the Omaze fundraising platform, participants will be automatically entered for a chance to win.

The program will start on May 21st and end on July 18th.

"We would like to invite you to be part of the fun here. We want to put you in the movie in Star Wars," Abrams said in the video. "Star Wars": Force for Change is sponsored by the newest installment of the "Star Wars" film franchise, UNICEF and Abrams' production company, Bad Robot. "The Star Wars fans are some of the most passionate and committed folks around the globe," Abrams said in a statement. "We're thrilled to offer a chance to come behind the scenes as our VIP guests and be in Star Wars: Episode VII. We're even more excited that by participating in this campaign, Star Wars fans will be helping children around the world through our collaboration with UNICEF Innovation Labs and projects."
