‘Semana Santa’ Indie Short Film Casting Call for Several Speaking Roles

Semana Santa is now casting speaking roles in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming in Albuquerque, New Mexico this Winter 2018.

Producers are seeking the following roles:

  • FERNANDO – MALE: 35-40, Mexican, Nerdy, Portly or out of shape, Must speak fluent Spanish
    A stern yet nerdy father of two, born in Mexico and left to the United States at a very young age, He now wants to return to reconnect with his family and expose his family to the beauty of a home he once loved. In process harden his soft Americanized children by exposing them to Mexican culture.
  • MARIELA – FEMALE: Age 25 – 35, Mexican, Latina, or Mixed Ethnicity, Dark hair, Must Speak fluent Spanish. A young and pretty superficial mother of two, who has abandoned her Mexican heritage in favor of a glamorous Americanized life.
  • KAREN – FEMALE: 12-15 Mexican/American, Latina or Mixed Ethnicity, Dark hair, Preferably speaks fluent Spanish A first-generation American, stylishly depressed and too cool for her lame parents.
  • JR – MALE: 8-12 Mexican/American, Latino or Mixed Ethnicity,
  • Overweight, Dark hair. Preferably speaks fluent Spanish.  Funny and awkward sensitive young boy.
  • RODRIGO – MALE: 30-40 Mexican, Handsome, Must be Fluent in Mexican Spanish. Handsome, a dapper executive type with good manners and a pleasant and collected facade.
  • DAMIAN – MALE: 17-25 Mexican, Must be Fluent in Mexican Spanish. A wannabe tough guy, a bully who has outbursts of maniacal laughs that reflect a possible mental disorder.
  • LALO – MALE: 17-25 Mexican, Latino, Mixed ethnicity, potentially Native Preferably Fluent or Intermediate Spanish. A scrawny, scrappy, messy and nervous young hoodlum.
  • OLD MAN – MALE 60- 80 Mexican, Latino or Mixed Ethnicity, No speaking lines. Calm collected Old man, drug cartel elitist.
