Nicholas Sparks’ “The Longest Ride” is holding a casting call for featured roles in the new book turned movie.
Nicholas Sparks, most known for writing The Notebook is turning his latest book into a movie.
Based on the Nicholas Sparks novel, “The Longest Ride” centers on two sets of lovers in two intertwining stories. The first story is told through flashbacks of a 90-year-old veteran’s life and the love he has for his departed wife. The second story follows a student who falls in love with a similarly-wounded bull rider.
NCasting is currently casting a ton of roles for the new movie “The Longest Ride“. Filming is set to begin on June 16th and continue for the next couple of months.
Casting directors are looking for real country bands, top bands will be sent over to FOX Entertainment Music this afternoon.
In addition to music groups, casting directors are seeking to cast a featured “boyfriend” role in the movie. Producers are looking for someone that looks like Jake Gyllenhaal, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, or Daniel Radcliffe. For examples, visit BuzzFeed’s article on the 51’s Hottest Jewish Men in Hollywood.
Producers are also looking for college age kids both men and women that could pass for someone with a European Heritage, especially German to appear in the movie as well.

Let’s start off with the coolest opportunity I am still accepting Real Country Bands in the NC area… My top selects will be sent over to FOX Entertainment Music this afternoon so If you have already submitted you do not need to submit again unless you have additional info to add… I will be sending them videos of your band, photos of your band, if your band has a website please include any press package that I can send over… This is a cool opportunity as we will be using 2 of the band’s original songs in the film. We are looking for bands that would play country music that people would 2 step or line dance too, music that would appeal to college kids and to the older generations of country music lovers as well.

“EUROPEAN COLLEGE ARTISTS” I am looking for college age kids both men and women that could pass for someone with a European Heritage, especially German. Looking for more dark hair, darker complexion types. You can not have a modern look about you as this scene is from the mid 40’s. This is above all one of the most important scenes for our Director for him this is the make or break look for the film. You are welcome to google old photos of Black Mountain College from the 40’s to see what we are looking for.
