A tourism commercial is now casting outdoor enthusiasts in the Lake George Region of Upstate New York

Casting directors are now casting outdoor enthusiasts to work on scenes filming in the Lake George Region of Upstate New York on September 1 to 7, 2022. 

Producers are now casting the following roles:

ROLES: Open to all diversities, we need the following roles/ages Mother (30-the 40s) & Father (30s-40s) – Must be comfortable and able to engage with kids

  • Kids (4-10) **Must like to engage in water sports and amusement parks
  • Younger Couple (the 20s-30s) ** some roles will be required to kayak in a river, so please note any boating experience.
  • Mature Adult Female & Male (45-65)

NOW CASTING: Tourism Commercial Seeks Outdoor Enthusiasts

What: Tourism Commercial in the Adirondack/Lake George Region of Upstate NY

When: 10/1 – 10/7 – Specific dates per role are TBD; the client would like people to be flexible in their schedule

ROLES: Open to all diversities, we need the following roles/ages Mother (30-the 40s) & Father (30s-40s) – Must be comfortable and able to engage with kids

  • Kids (4-10) **Must like to engage in water sports and amusement parks
  • Younger Couple (the 20s-30s) ** some roles will be required to kayak in a river, so please note any boating experience.
  • Mature Adult Female & Male (45-65)

Rate/Terms: Most roles are $1000 for ½ day on set. The rate depends on specific roles you could be cast for, which will be determined in the upcoming weeks.

This is a 5-year buyout for all media forms, including unlimited broadcast, print, and digital edits.

**You can not have appeared in another tourism spot in the past year, and if given a role in this spot, the client would like one year of exclusivity to their tourism campaign.

Commercial Acting Tips

  1. Always be natural and believable in your acting. The best way to do this is to be yourself and act like you would in real life.
  2. Make sure you know your lines well, so you don’t have to think about them too much when performing. This will help you stay in character and make your acting more believable.
  3. Remember that a commercial is about selling a product or service, so make sure your acting reflects that. Be enthusiastic and convincing in your portrayal of the product or service.
  4. Always be professional on set and take direction well from the commercial’s director. This will show that you’re serious about your craft and easy to work with, making you more likely to be hired for future projects.
  5. Be prepared to audition for many commercial roles before you land one. Don’t get discouraged. Just keep working hard and perfecting your craft. With perseverance and talent, you’ll eventually find success as an actor in commercials.
