“My Many Sons” Feature Film Open Casting Call for Basketball Players in Nashville

Feature film “My Many Sons” Open Casting Call for basketball players in Nashville, Tennessee.

On Location Casting is currently casting talent for the independent feature film, “My Many Sons” filming in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to NBC, “My Many Sons” centers on Northern State coaching great, Don Meyer. Don Meyer went to coach the Bisons to a 665 wins and a NAIA title in 1986. At Northern State, Meyer went 221-104 and became college basketball’s all-time wins leader (923) until being overtaken by Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski. A car crash in 2008 resulted in Meyer both having his left leg amputated below the knee and learning that he had cancer, but he remained Northern State’s head coach until 2010.

Casting directors are holding an open casting call for basketball players to try out for the upcoming feature film. Producers are looking for skilled basetball players that are 18-23, height range 6’1″-6’8″, in good physical shape, average to excellent basketball skills.

NASHVILLE, TN Casting Notice – Independent FEATURE FILM “My Many Sons” for work multiple dates between 8/12/14 – 8/31/14.

—OPEN BASKETBALL TRYOUTS—*PLEASE SHARE*

Filming Location is in the NASHVILLE, TN area.

*FEATURED SPECIAL ABILITY EXTRAS*:
COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYER types: Male, all ethnicities, age range 18-23, height range 6’1″-6’8″, in good physical shape, average to excellent basketball skills, MUST not currently be or intending to be playing college basketball as this will jeopardize your NCAA eligibility. MUST have OPEN availability during entire shooting schedule (8/12/14-8/31*14)

Pay rate for Featured EXTRAS is still TBD. You will receive a check in the mail 7-10 business days AFTER you work.

WHEN: Saturday 8/9/14. 11:00am – 1:00pm (should be prepared to stay the entire time)

WHERE: McQuiddy Gym, Lipscomb University

Please wear basketball attire and be prepared to play. If you are chosen, you could be there the entire 2 hours. If not, you may only be there 15 minutes or so. Basketball ability is a plus, but not a must as long as you meet the physical requirements.

If attending – please let the Coach know you were sent by On Location Casting and also post below so that we know how many people to expect. Then – just show up!!
