Kirsten Dunst’s ‘Midnight Special’ Feature Film Open Casting Call for Lead Speaking Role in Shreveport, Louisiana

Casting directors are holding an open casting call for  a young male actor to play a lead speaking role in the feature film “Midnight Special” featuring Kirsten Dunst and directed by Jeff Nichols.

Sarah Dowling posted a casting call on her Facebook page seeking caucasian boys to play 7 to 8 for the feature film, “Midnight Special”.

According to Vulture, “Writer/director Jeff Nichols (MudTake ShelterShotgun Stories) recently cast Michael Shannon for a fourth straight collaboration inMidnight Special, about a dad and his young son hitting the road when some special powers turn up in the boy. Now Kirsten Dunst has come aboard in an unspecified role. She joins Joel Edgerton (The Great GatsbyZero Dark Thirty). ”

 

Casting directors are seeking kids with unique personalities and looks and are especially interested in kids who may have a special intelligence or wisdom (gifted and talented students, kids with unique interests, etc). We are also looking for kids who have an “old soul” feel to them. All looks encouraged.

Midnight Special Open Casting Call Information

Hi guys!

We will be in Shreveport this Friday, October 4th to do a regional casting search for the film “Midnight Special” – directed by Jeff Nichols! At this time, we are looking for the following ONLY:

BOYS – CAUCASIAN (ages 6-10) – to play age 7/8. We are looking for kids with unique personalities and looks and are especially interested in kids who may have a special intelligence or wisdom (gifted and talented students, kids with unique interests, etc). We are also looking for kids who have an “old soul” feel to them. All looks encouraged.

What to bring: Please haveyour child come wearing a solid shirt (without busy patterns or logos) if possible. Also, please bring a non-returnable photograph if possible. You do not need to bring anything else with you. Wait times will be determined by the number of people who show up.
