'Karate Kid' is Now Hiring Atlanta Actors

Casting directors are now hiring stand-ins to work on scenes filming between October 4th through December 14th. Producers are seeking the following types:

• Caucasian Italian Male Dark brown/black hair Ages: 30 and up Height: 5'8-5'10" Weight: 155-165lbs
• Caucasian Male Blonde/dirty blonde hair Ages: 30 and up Height: 5'11"-6'1" Weight: 180-190lbs
• Caucasian female Dark brown/Black hair Ages: 30-40 Height: 5'8"-5'10" Weight: 130-145lbs

About Karate Kid:

IMDB reports the new TV series will be set 30 years after the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament.

“The series focuses on Johnny Lawrence reopening the Cobra Kai dojo, which causes his rivalry with Daniel LaRusso to be reignited,” the plot description on IMDB says.

The show will feature Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, who will reprise their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. The 10 episode series will premiere on YouTube Red in 2018.
