Casting directors are now casting extras to portray real soldiers in upcoming war scenes filming in Harpers Ferry West Virginia.

Arvold Casting Calls posted the following Casting Call on their Facebook Page:

Here’s a chance to really play soldier! We have a specific need for Caucasian men between 18 to 50 years old who are willing and eager to portray the soldiers of World War I and II for long days and nights of difficult combat conditions.

These combat days in the trenches are currently scheduled for Thursday, October 24th, Friday, October 25th, and Monday, October 28th.

Please submit ASAP to be a part of this exciting History Channel Mini Series filming around Harpers Ferry, WV (within 90 minutes of DC and Baltimore).

We have lots of background roles to fill for the next couple of weeks, including our soldiers in battle, and the daily rate is $126.

All are welcome to submit, and the following are especially encouraged:

Caucasian men between 18 to 50 years old who are willing and eager to portray the soldiers of World War I and II for long days and nights of difficult combat conditions.  Outdoor skills, military and firearms training, and stage combat experience are all a plus.

Japanese men and Japanese teenagers of all ages.

World War I and World War II re-enactors, both sides of each war (if possible, send us pictures which show your uniform(s) and gear and also describe below).

Caucasian men of all ages.

ONLINE SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

Please follow the instructions below carefully, emailing us both the requested photos and information.

Copy the long list of questions below in an email to us with your answers, and send to [email protected] along with THREE photos taken especially for this submission, with a plain solid background. One photo of full body facing forward (form fitting clothing please, not baggy or loose), and two photos of close-ups of face only, one serious with mouth closed, one smiling and showing teeth.  These photos do not need to be fancy, we just need to see what you look like right now.

Not everyone is needed for every day (and some roles are only for one day), but to be considered available for a shoot date, you must be available ALL DAY/EVENING/NIGHT of that specific date, as calltimes will vary. The shoot is currently scheduled from Monday – Friday from October 14th to November 1st.  If fully available for ALL of these dates, Monday – Friday from October 14th to November 1st, then answer FULL AVAIL in the question below. If you are NOT fully avail, then write LIMITED AVAIL and list dates NOT available where asked.

If you do not know your sizes/measurements, please try to find out before submitting!  Men, it is ESPECIALLY important to let us know your Suit Jacket and Pants sizes in order to be considered for roles requiring a military uniform, and even civilians often wore a suit back then as everyday wear.  If you do not know your Suit Jacket size, please see below for more instructions on that. **

** FOR MEN, TO DETERMINE JACKET SIZE: Measure around your chest below the armpits. Leave a space of two finger widths between the tape measure and your body. Use this figure to determine your size. Even better, please go to a clothing store to be measured and/or try on suit jackets to determine your proper size.
