Foxcatcher is an upcoming film about John du Pont, a millionaire who suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and later kills Olympic wrestler David Schultz. Currently, Bennet Miller is scheduled to direct this amazing film with the help of Dan Futterman, E. Max Frye as the writers of this film. Foxcatcher is slated to feature Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo, and Steve Carrel. Steve Carrel will play the role of John Du Pont the schizophrenic millionaire, Channing Tatum as Mark Shultz brother to the Olympic wrestler, and Mark Ruffalo will play David Shultz the Olympic wrestler who is later murdered.

The film is still currently in pre-production, but casting directors are still casting for many various roles in this upcoming film. This is a great opportunity for many aspiring actors to take advantage of. Although it’s not identified, what is being titled “Foxcatcher” will hold an open casting call from 9 am to 5 p.m. Saturday Oct. 13 at the Doubletree hotel in Green Tree at 500 Mansfield Ave. (Pittsburgh 15205 if you are using GPS) The production which will shoot in the Pittsburgh area in November and December, is looking for individuals to play wrestlers, coaches, trainers, refs, business men and women, photographers, and various other roles. Bring a recent photo and a pen to the call on Saturday. You must be older than 18 to qualify. The movie is the real-life story of a chemical fortune heir who went to prison for killing an Olympic gold medalist and wrestler. Directed by Bennet Miller who made “Moneyball” the movie is about John du Pont, Great great grandson of E.I. du Pont, the entrepreneur that founded the chemical company. In January 1996, he shot and killed David Schultz, a 1984 gold medal winner who came to live and train in the state of the art Foxcatcher National Training Center.
