Disney Channel Talent Search 2016 Open Casting Call

Disney is holding a talent search for Disney XD, Disney Channel and High School Musical 4.

Disney channel announced open online auditions last week and now this week Disney Channel and Disney XD announced they will be holding a live open casting call in the Los Angeles area.

Do you want to become a Disney star? Do you want to become famous? If so, then Disney channel is looking for you.

The Disney casting team will be in Los Angeles, California scouting new talent in just a few weeks and teens in the area can come to the open casting call with their parents, to meet with the Disney Channel casting directors.

The auditions are scheduled for May 15th and will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center. Disney Channel is looking to cast new talent for their upcoming movie High School Musical 4. The network is looking for teens ages 14 to 17 years old who can sing, dance and act for a lead role in the upcoming Disney Channel movie, High School Musical 4.

If you do not live in the Los Angeles, California area, then you are still in luck because online aduitions are also being held for talent that do not live in the area.

The Disney Channel casting directors are looking for teens coming to the open casting call to download the script as they will be asked to audition.

All teens attending must come with a parent or guardian and aspiring actors are asked to bring a current photo of themselves that may be left with the casting directors. Photos do not have to be professional and a regular snap should should be okay.

Here are a few Disney audition tips:

  1. The age range for the Disney audition is between 14 to 17. Casting directors are looking for people that look that age range. You can be older or younger but, you should resemble a teenager in high school.
  2. Casting directors want to see what you look like. Avoid wearing hats, scarves or bringing any props to your Disney audition.
  3. Bring a well lit photo and your acting resume. Also bring multiple copies just in case.
  4. Have a friend take a photo of you. Do not take a selfie.
  5. These Disney open casting calls draw huge crowds. Be prepared and get there early.

This is the first official Disney open casting call of 2016 and there is no fee to tryout. Official Disney auditions are free. Appointments are not required. But, families driving to the convention will need to pay for parking.

APPLICANT REGISTRATION WILL BE HELD FROM 9:00 am-12:00 noon

Please bring a PHOTO of yourself (SNAPSHOT OK) and have it ready upon registration.

EVERYONE under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN to audition
