Discovery Channel ‘Taking Flight’ casting call for speaking roles in North Carolina.

On Location Casting is looking for actors, models, and talent to work on the Discovery Channel TV series ‘Taking Flight’ in Louisburg, North Carolina. Producers are looking for actors to work as extras and lead roles in the TV series.
Filming will take place between Tuesday, April 7th through April 9th.

Extras & Lead Casting Director: On Location Casting

Audition Date/Location for Lead Roles: Self Submission photos & video via email

Tentative Shoot Date: *will be ONE of the following dates so please keep ALL of them open if submitting – Tuesday 4/7/15, Wednesday 4/8/15 or Thursday 4/9/15

Shoot Location: LOUISBURG, NC

Pay rate:

EXTRAS – $80.00/10 hours ($8.00/hour)

LEADS – $150.00/day (could be higher up to $200.00/day depending on how featured you are and how many lines you are given

Union Status: Non-Union

ROLES BEING CAST:

EXTRAS

MECHANICS: male, all ethnicities, age range 20s-40s, blue collar, a little bit rough around the edges

SECURITY GUARDS: male, all ethnicities, age range 30s-40s, blue collar, larger stature, intimidating

THUG FRIENDS: male, all ethnicities, age range 20s-30s, big, “beefy”, mean looking

LEADS: (will have possible scripted and non-scripted lines so should be comfortable acting/speaking on camera)

FBO OFFICER: male, all ethnicities, age range mid-late 40s, clean-cut, conservative, professional. Should have business attire

AIRPORT MANAGER (Male): male, Hispanic or Native American, age range  40s-50s, clean-cut, conservative, professional, successful

AIRPORT MANAGER (Female): female, Caucasian, age range  40s-50s, businesslike, professional, reasonably attractive

AIRFIELD WORKER: male, all ethnicities, age range late 20s-late 30s, blue collar

ANGELA: female, Caucasian, age range 30s-40s, variety of types

BART: male, Caucasian, age ranges 30s-50s, beefy intimidating

PHOTO SUBMISSIONS ASAP via email to: [email protected] with subject line TAKING FLIGHT NORTH CAROLINA (“specify role”).  Submissions MUST include ALL of the following: 2 RECENT photos taken within the past month (one head shot and one full body shot), first & last name, contact number, height, weight, city you are located in and please describe your acting experience or experience relevant to the role. Photos should be of you alone with no one else in photo, NO sunglasses and against a plain/solid color background!! **PLEASE ALSO submit a short (1-2 minute) video of yourself. Does not have to be professional, can simply be shot with your camera phone.

– Video MUST be in .mov., mp3, or mpg format – we can NOT submit Youtube videos.
– Video should NOT be shot into a mirror. You should not be wearing sunglasses.
– Video should have decent lighting and no loud background sounds. Preferably shot against a solid color background.

In the Video please state your FULL name, where you are located and tell us something about yourself so we can get a feel for your personality and how you come across on camera. 

**PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE LOUISBURG area!!  **YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED for LEAD ROLES WITHOUT INCLUDING A VIDEO submission!!!

SUBMISSION DEADLINE is MONDAY 4/6/15 at 1:00pm, however earlier submissions are preferred so that we can get your photos in front of the Client quicker and have you send in an audition video!
