An upcoming commercial is now casting real referees in Australia.
Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming in South Wales, Australia.
Producers are seeking the following types:
- Looking for genuine Baseball, Basketball, NFL (Gridiron) Umpires / Referees for paid TVC.
Ability to do an American accent a plus.

In US sports the referees are as iconic as the players. They all have unique looks, skills and mannerisms, from hand signals to shouts, and of course, the uncanny ability to run backwards.
The performers inhabiting these characters will need to be pretty serious about what they do. When the ref is sending someone out of the game or off the field, it’s got to be for real, no half-measures.
What’s important for us is looking at the personalities we recognise in each of the games – the over-masculine MLB umpire, the robotic NFL referee and the fit and agile NBA ref.
