BET News will be holding a town hall meeting in Atlanta, Georgia to discuss the kidnapping of the 300 girls from school dormitories in Northern Nigeria.
BET News will join the people of Atlanta in an  discussion of this tragedy.
BET comments that “as a nation we now realize that the fight is not only in Nigeria, but it is also in our own backyards here in Atlanta, Georgia. The Urban Institute’s most recent study (2007) said the underground trading of women in Atlanta is a $290 million industry. In 2014, the study found that pimps in Atlanta earn between $5,000-$33,000 per week, selling our children.”
