Amazon ‘Point of Honor‘ Extras Casting Call in Richmond, Virginia

The new Amazon TV pilot ‘Point of Honor‘ is now casting extras to appear in the series filming in Richmond, Virginia. According to the casting call notice casting directors are looking for paid background artists who can authentically look like they are from the Civil War era and are local to the Central Virginia/Richmond area.

Point of Honor centers around a Virginia family that stands divided on the brink of War. Casting directors are also casting speaking roles in the upcoming TV pilot.

Filming is set to begin on September 9th with wardrobe fittings set to occur on the week of August 25th in downtown Richmond, Virginia. Producers will be casting extras for the project until the end of September. Casting directors are looking for talent who are able to work several days in the TV series.

We are especially looking for males of military age.  Those with military and/or re-enacting experience are encouraged to submit.  We are also in need of women and children.  African Americans willing and able to authentically portray enslaved persons are especially encouraged to submit.

We are also seeking male Caucasian musicians with experience playing in string quartets.  If you belong to a string quartet or could play with one, please email us that information along with the photos required below. [Arvold Casting]

Since the series is set in the 150 years ago, casting directors are looking for background extras that look and appear like they are from that time period. Consequently, casting directors are looking for people with no tattoos and no braces. Hair should look natural, and not processed. Eyebrows should be natural, and not plucked. etc.

Please send your name and phone number to [email protected] along with three photographs taken just for us following the below instructions.  Cellphone or Ipad pics work just fine.  Email us the following three photos (Labeled in the following manner:  YOUR NAME 1, YOUR NAME 2, YOUR NAME 3):

Two close-ups of head and upper shoulders only, with one close-up picture with you smiling and showing teeth (YOUR NAME 1), the other close-up picture with a serious or neutral expression (YOUR NAME 2).  And the third photo of full body facing forward with form fitting clothing please, not baggy or loose (labeled YOUR NAME 3).

Make sure that the lighting is good, and that the background is a plain, solid color.  Please wear little or no make-up.  If you have long hair, please pull it forward over shoulders to show length.

We need to know what you look like right now, so these pictures need to follow our directions and be of reasonably good quality, but NOT professionally taken.  Again, cellphone photos are just fine.

You may also include any headshot and acting resume with your email, but it is not required.

The subject heading for your email should be:  YOUR NAME, Extra
