“A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” Starring Tom Hanks Open Casting Call

Tom Hanks’ new movie “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” is now casting talent to work on scenes filming in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Casting directors are looking for talent to work on a scene filming on Monday, April 29th and 30th. Producers are seeking the following types:

  • Monday April 29th:
    Option 1- Gala Scene (if you worked the Gala Scene, and had your own suits and dresses, let us know) we are looking for about 20 people. If you did not work before but have your own long gowns and or suit/tux, email us!
  • Option 2-Esquire Magazine: if you worked previously in this magazine office scene or if you are new to the show. Looking for “hip, journalist, New Yorker types” 20’s-30’s”.
  • Tuesday, April 30th:
    Option 3- Exterior Scene with Car: 2004 and earlier model cars! We need 8 people with older cars. $150/12 who would also work as pedestrians in the scene.
  • Hip New York Couple:
    Option 4- Looking for a real couple between the ages of 18-35 to pretend to be a “hip, trendy, New York couple”

According to Variety, Marielle Heller is directing the movie from a script by Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster.

The film is based by a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and award-winning journalist Tom Junod. Junod, a cynical journalist begrudgingly accepts an assignment to write a profile piece on the beloved icon and finds his perspective on life transformed.

Hey everyone! FOR YOU ARE MY FRIEND – NOW A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

We are filming a few additional scenes for “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” (Previously “You Are My Friend”). location: Pittsburgh Area

We are looking for the following for Monday April 29th and Tuesday April 30th. Please let us know if you 100% available to work either of these days!

Monday April 29th:
Option 1- Gala Scene (if you worked the Gala Scene, and had your own suits and dresses, let us know) we are looking for about 20 people. If you did not work before but have your own long gowns and or suit/tux, email us!

Please email us with what you are available and interested in submitting for in the subject line. Remember you should have the whole day free as the report time could be any time and could run for at least 8-10 hours sometimes.

Rate:$80 for 8 hours and overtime after.

Again, write what’s you are interested in in the subject line. (Option 1, 2, 3, 4) etc.
Please include in the email, Name, Age, Height, Weight, Wardrobe Sizes, phone number and a current photo (even if you came to casting call for this show last year it’s been 8 months, send us a new photo).
