In honor of Mother’s Day here are five real-life mothers and daughters who have appeared in a movie together.
1. Meryl Streep and Mami Gummer
Mami Gummer was only 3 years hold when she made her film debut in the movie ‘Heartburn’. Over twenty years later, the two actresses will appear together again in the ‘Ricki and the Flash’.
2. Angelina Jolie and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt
Angelina Jolie’s daughter, appeared in Disney’s Maleficent. Angelina Jolie pointed out that it took the entire family to get the 4-year old to follow directions on her first day on set. Jolie told E! News that in one scene her daughter was supposed to chase after butterflies. However, it was not that simple. “Brad and I, and her brothers and sisters, were all there, and I had to get the pole with the blue stick on the end that was the butterfly and I had to kind of dance in front of her.”
3. Leslie Mann and Maude and Iris Apatow
Leslie Mann’s real life daughters Maude and Iris Apatow have played the on-screen daughters of Leslie Mann’s characters in 2007’s ‘Knocked Up’, 2009’s ‘Funny People’ and 2012 ‘This is 40’ all of which were directed by husband and father Judd Apatow.
