Venom Movie Coming Soon – A new Spider-Man spinoff movie is coming soon.
While the new Spider-Man movie is ramping up production in Atlanta, Georgia, Hollywood is getting ready for a Spider-Man spinoff movie over at Sony Studios.
According to reports, Spider-Man spinoff Venom is coming soon to theaters. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Sony is currently developing a Spider-Man spinoff to expand the franchise. The next movie will be centering around the villain/superhero Venom.Â
Venom is one of Marvel’s most popular villains and a Spider-Man nemesis since he was introduced in 19888. The character is a mixture of an alien that feeds off of a human host to survive. In return, the alien empowers the human with super powers.
It is unclear whether or not Venom will be a villain or an anti-hero in the upcoming spinoff. But, the last time Venom appeared in the big screen was in Spider-Man 3 and played by Topher Grace. A spin-off has been in development for a long time.
According to The Hollywood reporter, this “Venom is meant to not only stand on its own but to also launch its own franchise.”
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia and it’s reported that Spider-Man will film in the Peach State as soon as Chris Pratt finishes filming GOTG2. Therefore, there is a good chance that Venom will film in Atlanta as soon as Spider-Man finishes filming.
