Black Panther filmed scenes at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta

Black Panther has been a juggernaut at the box office.Fans from all over the world are praising the superhero movie, including Tyler Perry, who revealed the fictional kingdom of Wakanda was partially recreated on his Atlanta film lot.

The filmmaker took to Instagram to share that Black Panther was one of the first films to shoot on one of is many stages.

This is not the first major production to film at Tyler Perry Studios. The Walking Dead previously filmed at TPS.

It’s important to point out that the Atlanta City Council signed off on a deal that would allow for Tyler Perry to turn much of Fort McPherson into a movie studio. Tyler Perry is using the base to expand the number of studio facilities he currently owns and operates. Recently, Tyler Perry sold his previously property, which included over 1000 acres, five sound stages, a post-production facility and a 400-seat theater in Southwest Atlanta.
