Shia LaBeouf Breaks Down During ‘Man Down’ Press Conference

Shia LaBeouf criticizes wars and a leaked video shows Shia LaBeouf losing it in Germany.

Shia LaBeouf breaks down during a press conference for his new movie, Man Down. According to reports, Shia LaBeouf had some depressing words to say about the world.

“We’re in a tough spot. The world’s in a tough spot. It’s like World War III, right?” LaBeouf told the reporters at the press conference for Man Down. “We’re in the middle of something really wild going on, more so than ever in my life, I think,” he asserted.

In the movie Man Down, LaBeouf plays a former U.S. Marine discharged with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD after making a fatal error in Afghanistan. Back home in America, he searches for his wife and son. Man Down features Shia LaBeouf, Gary Oldman and Kate Mara.

“I hope the future of our world is not as pictured as in this picture. Man, I don’t know. I’m just an actor,” Kate Mara told the audience.

The movie is based on a book written by Adam Simon, who revealed the inspiration for the film came while he was homeless at one point in time in his life.

“I was living on the street when I started writing Man Down. In fact, there’s a letter that Gabriel [LaBeouf] writes to his son in the film that was a letter that I wrote to my son one night in a parking garage, where I slept, where I stayed the night,” recalled Simon.

Simon pointed out that the biggest problem he saw was the large number of veterans that were also homeless. “I felt it was more important to tell the story of veterans that I kept coming in contact with on the streets,” he explained.

Simon then called out politicians who praise War veterans on the campaign trail and then cut disability programs. “What’s deplorable is that we have a history, in our countries, of people waving flags and getting people to vote by invoking the names of our veterans, of our brothers and sisters who go over there and serve, and serve so well, and then they cut programs that take care of veterans.”

But, Shia LaBeouf may have taken method acting to a whole new level. In a video that was released by US Weekly shows the actor dancing like nobody was watching in the middle of a fraternity house.

According to a fellow party-goer, the Transformers actor “was having a good time,” with the group of friends.

Though LaBeouf has admitted to spending time in rehab, and got sober in late 2014, “He felt at home downing some beers,” the source told Radar.

“He seemed relaxed and drinking, but at one point was speaking roughly to his girlfriend. He was letting loose — dancing and talking loudly to himself, kind of like he was on a rant. He was acting like no one saw him.”

LaBeouf was later caught on camera telling his girlfriend that he would have killed her. “He was very bossy and acting like he was higher up the food chain,” the source revealed. “His girlfriend was trying to get away from him away and he didn’t want to leave. He was uncontrollable.”
