Ronda Rousey’s Social Media Campaign for Captain Marvel Lead Role is Working

Date:

Ronda Rousey’s social media campaign for the lead role of Captain Marvel looks like it actually working.

From Tyrese Gibson for the role of Green Lantern, to Tron Egerton for the role of Wolverine, various actors have made it pretty clear on social media and interviews that they would love to be considered for a role in a particular superhero movie

One such person is MMA fighting champ and action movie star, Ronda Rousey. Rousey has expressed an interest in being cast as Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it’s possible that Marvel chief Kevin Feige is pretty excited about her social media campaign.

Asked specifically about the Rousey as Captain Marvel campaigning, he tells Heroic Hollywood:

“I love it. That happens occasionally, and I think that’s a testament more to the strength of the characters. Going back to my early days at Marvel, there were always various people campaigning to be Wolverine.

I guess that was pre-Twitter and pre-Internet days, but still for some reason would pop up in Wizard Magazine. Wizard Magazine would always have ‘this person wants to play this role!’ It’s a testament to how great the characters are that it appeals to such a wide range of talented, talented people.”

Rousey’s next major motion picture is the remake of atrick Swayze classic “Road House”.

What do you think of Ronda Rousey as Captain Marvel? Is this a good idea? Share with us your thoughts in the comments below!
