HBO is ramping up production on a new comedy series, Brothers in Atlanta about a group of struggling entertainers and best friends Langston (Diallo Riddle) and Moose (Bashir Salahuddin) who are trying to navigate relationships and life in the Peach State. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new pilot will feature Jaden Smith and Maya Rudolph in recurring roles.
TVLine reports that Ricci and Amazon’s streaming arm are working on a new pilot about American novelist Zelda Fitzgerald, who also happens to be the wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald. The hour-long project’s working title is Z. Zelda Fitzgerald began writing essays for magazines, short stories and was long an inspiration for her husband’s own writing. She penned the novel “Save Me the Waltz.”
‘Like a Boss’
Being a boss is tough, but being an assistant is impossible. This coming-of-age series follows the dynamic and hard-working assistants to successful entrepreneurs and entertainers. With blood, sweat and tears, these ambitious 20-somethings are willing to do whatever it takes to learn the ropes one step at a time so they can climb the ranks. These assistants are exposed to a life of privilege at work, traveling on private jets and attending lavish red carpet events, however, at the end of the day, they struggle just to pay rent and find time for their own personal lives.
In Siren, a bachelor party becomes a savage fight for survival when the groomsmen unwittingly unleash a fabled predator upon the festivities. Slated to premiere on Chiller in 2016, Siren is adapted from David Bruckner’s short film Amateur Night, one of the segments featured in the 2012 Sundance premiere of the anthology thriller V/H/S.
Devious Maids centers on four Latina maids working in the homes of Beverly Hills’ wealthiest and most powerful families, and a newcomer who made it personal after a maid was murdered and determined to uncover the truth behind her demise, and in the process become an ally in their lives.
Hot Summer Nights’ is a coming-of-age drama feature film set in the early 1990s in Cape Cod. ‘Hot Summer Nights’ was the 2013 Blacklist script from Elijah Bynum about a teenager whose life spirals out of control when he becomes friends with the town rebel, falls in love and gets involved in a drug ring all in a matter of a few months.
‘Coat of Many Colors’ will center around Dolly Parton’s upbringing and to offer a look inside the “tight-knit Parton family as they struggle to overcome devastating tragedy and discover the healing power of love,” NBC argues that the project is not a “biopic, musical nor about Dolly’s whole life and performing career.” Instead, the Peacock calls it “a family-oriented faith-based story about the incidents in her and her family’s life around the time she was 9 years old.”
The movie is based on a true story about Christy Beam’s daughter who miraculously overcame a rare disorder that forced her to eat with tubes and carry colostomy bags instead of using regular bathrooms. After Beam’s daughter fell three stories, the book reveals the young girl visited heaven and was later cured of her rare condition.’
The Divergent Series: Allegiant – Part 1 is the first part of the film adaptation of Allegiant by Veronica Roth. It will be directed by Robert Schwentke and is slated to be released on March 18, 2016.

Overanalyzers will star Echo Kellum (Ben and Kate) and will center on the misadventures of a diverse group of friends in their twenties, as the try to navigate through the cultural changes that make life a “hilarious nightmare.”

Rickey Smiley for Real
TV One has announced that it is currently in production on a new series titled “Rickey Smiley For Real,” an hour-long show featuring syndicated radio personality, host and stand-up comedian Rickey Smiley, as he tries to juggle his career and home life.
Following Clint Eastwood’s Box Office hit movie American Sniper, Eastwood is now developing a movie about Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger. Sully will center around the commercial airline pilot who was praised as a national hero in 2009. Sully is written by Todd Komarnicki (Perfect Stranger) and is based on Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger’s autobiography, Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters, co-written by Jeffrey Zaslow.
The previously untitled romantic comedy (which has now been titled “Zoe Ever After”) features Brandy as Zoe Moon, a recent divorcee and single mom who’s getting adjusted to her new life raising her 10-year-old son on her own all while balancing a career as a budding cosmetic mogul and a meddling ex who just won’t quite move on.
