Georgia is quickly taking over the TV and film industry. Here are the 29 movies and TV shows filming in Georgia this November.

Georgia’s film industry is on fire. Here’s what’s filming and what’s going on in and around Atlanta.

Producers are still hiring and casting directors are continuously looking for the right talent to work on TV shows and movies filming across the state.

Stranger Things is one of the biggest TV shows filming in Atlanta, Georgia. This thrilling Netflix original drama stars Golden Globe-winning actress Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, who lives in a small Indiana town in 1983 — inspired by a time when tales of science fiction captivated audiences. When Joyce’s 12-year-old son, Will, goes missing, she launches a terrifying investigation into his disappearance with local authorities. As they search for answers, they unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries involving secret government experiments, unnerving supernatural forces, and a very unusual little girl

Georgia Industry News:

Understanding Georgia Film Tax Credit:

A state tax credit was signed into law in 2008 giving productions up to a 30 percent tax break by filming in Georgia. This incentive was enough to convince Hollywood producers to film in Georgia.

Big productions such as The Hunger Games, The Walking Dead and Divergent helped boost Georgia’s film industry. In fact, small cities are now being used as filming locations. Producers are searching and finding small towns across Georgia to film their TV shows. The small town of Senoia, Georgia has transformed since The Walking Dead set up location in the small town.

So what’s next?  In November, Pinewood studios announced they will be doubling the size of their studios, expanding the Georgia Film Industry, making it one of the biggest studios in the United States

  1. Update:

    cancelled: “Constantine”

  2. I thought the renewal of “Constantine” was still being considered. And it may move to the SyFy channel.

  3. GEORGIA TV & Film taking over the film industry??? Haha!!!!
Georgia produces nothing. It’s all Hollywood $ that produces TV & Films that are shot in Ga, Georgia is mearly a factory for Hollywood to film there. But then again there are still those who believe in the tooth fairy. If it wasn’t for Georgia film & Tv Tax incentives
Hollywood would not even look at that horrible state. But having said that Georgia did produce the number 1 state in the nation for corruption Fact.
Also the Sag/Aftra indie outreach program, one of its members was a escort and nude model, she is currently an actress. Her Linkedln is only visited by porn stars
She is in the current film Magicmike XXL. But also is an acting coach !!!
What a role model. But having said that I’d say Ga, has about 5 years before the tax payers figure out that the tax increase to pay for all of this will amount to nothing for them and only to make those involved “lots of money” a direct quote from Ric Reitz
Also Georgia has already taken over child prostutution sex..Yes Georgia is Number 1

  4. Cry moar. We’ll send you some water because we wouldn’t want you to get dehydrated. Boys, get Hollywood some water. You know what? Go ahead and send a gallon. Heck, I’m feeling generous.

  5. Believe me, those of us who actually live in Georgia don’t want any part of your neo-socialist left-coast hippiefest. The happiest day of my life will be when that fault opens up and all of you Prius-driving vegans slide off into the Pacific.

  6. I would disagree w/ you. True, a lot of the decision-making is done in LA, but ATL is also the home for content creators like Tyler Perry Studios, Rainforest Films; home for the Turner Empire and the base of several of the more popular reality TV shows; also the base for such powerhouses like Will Packer & Rob Hardy. I think ATL has more of a stake than, say, NC had. Screen Gems in Wilmington was primarily a space for outside outfits to rent their sound stages, but that is not the case for many of the outfits there in Atlanta. But correct me if I am missing something…

  7. Countless Number of these Projects aren’t even in Production. Most either already wrapped or are very intimate sets.

As someone who has spent 5 Years in this industry you’ve got to understand this does not guarantee actors work or money. More times than not Production Assistants are paid WAY beyond what the Actors themselves make unless they are Mainstream Artists. Atlanta is not Hollywood in that regard towards its workers.

  8. Vancouver and Toronto take more business away from Los Angeles than Georgia or any other state. The U.S. cannot match the tax incentives given by the Canadian government.

  9. I WOULD LIKE TO INVOKE THE “Mr.T…I pity the fool” rule here..
Also …there’s work everywhere..for those that can grind.
Atlanta is just this….Terminus City.Things move in..Things head out.
Maybe you can catch the red eye…
I ve learned from LA road dogs..and gave them their due respect.5 years in…respect has been returned. I run a crew.
You sound like a little girl with skinned knèes.
Most drivers have kleenex in the van if you feel like a good cry.
My apologies for being a bit long winded….I’m just tired of the nonsense, We go where the work is.. and then kick rocks and run it again.

  10. “Trickle-down effect?” C’mon, even George H. W. Bush wouldn’t sign off on that one.

  11. Once again Project Casting shows an absence of editors.

    Which is correct:
“40 TV Shows and Movies Filming in Georgia in August”
