Need a New Job? Get Paid $64K to Babysit in a Haunted House

Date:

Looking for a new job? How about getting paid $64,000 to babysit in a haunted house? Would you do it?

According to NBC affiliate 9News, a recent online job listing is looking to hire a babysitter for a family living in Scotland. The catch is they online listing claims that the place supposedly has ghosts, and potential nannies should be okay with paranormal activity.

“Five nannies have left the role in the last year, each citing supernatural incidents as the reason, including strange noises, broken glass, and furniture moving,” the mother wrote in the listing. “This has obviously been a period of great upheaval for our children.”

For whatever reason, the mother also claimed that the evil spirits only seem to show up when she and her husband are out of town. The scary part is the family sounds like they are taking the haunted house thing pretty seriously.

“We’re happy to pay above the asking rate, and feel it’s important to be as upfront as possible to find the right person,” the listing reads.

For what the job pays, it seems like a pretty easy job. All the prospective nanny has to do is make breakfast, wake the kids, take them to school, pick them up, help out with their homework, and put them to bed. And then, possibly investigate any paranormal activity.
